Chapter 5: Azura's Identity

“I just complimented you with a sentence that makes you feel happy easily, right?”

“Yes, I'm happy.”

Vincent smiles. His smile is so beautiful, making Azura stare. Her heart involuntarily beat faster. She shyly turned away.

Vincent feels very comfortable around Azura. She has no ill intentions toward him. Vincent can sleep peacefully beside Azura.

That's how Azura is. She was by his side, taking care of him, laughing with him. She stayed beside him in a calm and idyllic way.

While Azura lived well in the John family, a rumor that was unfavorable to her was spread by someone.

“I heard that Vincent's wife is just a maid.”

“It is said that she was raised as a daughter by the Meredith family to replace lady Aurora in marrying her Vincent.”

The servants in the house are talking about Azura. As soon as she heard the news, she ran to Vincent's room. He is discussing work with his secretary. Azura opened the door and entered. Their conversation was interrupted.

“Vincent, I'm sorry, but I have something to tell you.”

“I'm working.”

Vincent seems a bit unhappy looking at Azura. She panicked but still insisted on talking to him.

“I have to tell you about this.”

Vincent looked into Azura's tearful eyes. Vincent felt his heart soften.

“Okay, we'll talk about work later.”

The secretary smiled, gently stood up, bowed to the two, and went out.

“What's up?”

“I'm Meredith's daughter. I'm not a maid. I do not intend to replace Aurora. I won't marry you just because you are rich.”

“How is this thing?”

Azura told him her story. Of course, she only about her family background, and her miserable life didn't mention.

“I am the illegitimate child of my father. My mother died when I was ten years old from a traffic accident. Father took me home to raise. I'm always at Meredith's house. I never lie to you.”

“I don't doubt you either. I'll clear this up.”

As soon as Azura came out of the room, Vincent called his secretary.

“Investigate all the information about my wife from childhood to now.”

He wanted to know how could the Meredith family have such an innocent daughter.

Azura doesn't know if Vincent believes her word or not. She found a tree no one was looking at, hugged her pillow, and sobbed. She wants to live in peace. Why is it so difficult?

Because Azura did not want her to live well, her mother spread this news. Her mother makes sure Aurora doesn't need to marry Vincent. she wants John's family to hate Azura. On the contrary, she has no idea what Aurora is doing these days. Aurora has a very mysterious drawing.

Vincent's men worked so quickly that the next day the document on Azura was on his desk.

Azura, 25, is the illegitimate daughter of Meredith. From birth until the age of ten, she lived with her mother. Her mother died in a traffic accident. From the age of ten, she was raised by Mr. Meredith. In the house, mother scolded, sister beat. She lives as a maid, not a lady.

Vincent couldn't believe it. How did Azura survive at Meredith's house all these years? The poor wife is now with him. Before that, she suffered from domestic violence. He still doubts her. Vincent feels he is a bad husband.

He drove himself in a wheelchair to find her. He saw her fidgeting in the kitchen. She is preparing food for him.

  

“Azura.”

When she saw him, she wiped her hands and ran out.

“Why don't you let someone call me? What do you do by yourself running to the kitchen? Let me take you to your room.”

She walked over to push the wheelchair for him, not forgetting to instruct the chef.

“Uncle, please cook soup for me.”

She took him up to the room. She stood in front of him and asked.

“Do you have something to tell me?”

Vincent took Azura's hand, his hand covered with calluses.

“Leave the cooking to the chef. You push me outside to get some fresh air.”

Azura finds Vincent very strange today, but she's still with him. She took him to the flower garden, looking at the beautiful flowers bathing in the sun. He feels that she is as beautiful as those flowers.

“Azura, don't do the housework in the future. You just take care of me.”

"I'm still taking care of you." 

Azura felt that Vincent's talk today was very not understandable.

Vincent didn't know how to tell her what he meant. But he doesn't want her to live as a maid. From now, he wants her to live like a lady, the wife of Vincent.

He said nothing more. From tomorrow he will use his actions to love her more.

Vincent didn't know that he had a crush on Azura. A girl who doesn't put her interests first. She devoted herself to taking care of him. She is not thoughts of going off limits, simply being by his side.

When it comes to beauty, she's not too pretty. When it comes to her education, she hasn't gone to university. She's just an ordinary person. But for some reason, Vincent wants to protect her. He wanted her to smile. He wanted her to be the happiest woman in the world.

But does she like him? Vincent didn't dare ask Azura. Tracing documents did not find her with a lover. But that doesn't mean she will like him. This gives Vincent a headache.

He finally asked her: “Azura, you see what I am to you.”

“Aren't you my husband?”

She didn't understand why he asked such a question.

“I know you don't like me, but that's our relationship now. I marry you. I am your husband.”

It turned out that she considered him her husband. Vincent was happy with Azura's answer.

“Don't you decry me as a cripple?"

“I married you after you had an accident. Aren't we living a good life now?”

“Good. Of course, very good.”

He is still holding her hand. Then he definitely won't let go of her hand.
