Everleigh and her boys awoke late the next morning. When she saw where they were sleeping, she smiled. Rafael was on the other side of the bed, with his back to them. Radzim was constantly moving around while sleeping. He's now lying backwards at their feet, with his head at their feet and his feet at Raiden's belly.
She took a very quick shower using the same man’s shampoo and bath gel. She opened the walk-in closet and was surprised to see that it was full of men’s clothes. The closet alone was bigger than her room. Very neat and spacious, with rich wood cabinetry, marble floors, soft carpet and modern lighting.
She can even smell the aroma of fine leather in the air as she sees the perfectly organized shoes in different colors. Then rows of perfectly tailored suits with ties to match in every color, pattern, and fabric. A modular black cabinet with a granite countertop was at the center of the closet. She was barefoot with only a towel on, and the soft gray carpeted floor had a plush and luxurious feel against the skin of her feet.
She opened one of the drawers and gasped as she saw lots of watches. Not only regular watches, but luxury watches worth hundreds of thousands to millions, and one closed jewelry box. She was curious and opened it; it was a stunning ring with an oval-cut diamond. She closed the drawer immediately, feeling guilty of what she had done.
She sat on the leather-tufted seat on the carpeted floor and looked at herself in the full-length mirror. Rujan once told her that her beauty was like a fairy tale character. Her soft, long, straight hair is a dark color, but sometimes it changes; it depends on the lighting and the weather. A hearth-glow of dark copper during summer, almost brownish at noon, and raven during winter. It streamed by day and shimmered by night. He also said her skin was ethereal white, as fresh as snow, and as white as a new page.
All she could see in the mirror were the dark circles around her eyes; her paleness was almost ghostly, and her once sun-kissed lips were now dry. Her life had been tough these years; she didn’t even have time for herself. Her world evolved around her boys. The constant moving from one place to another exhausted her.
She stood and removed the towel wrapped around her body. She can’t remember herself before the accident. Her memories started after the accident, in the fifth month with the triplets in her belly. She can still see the faded, stretched mark on her skin. Rujan once said she was too small to carry three rascals inside her for nine months, and she had a normal delivery.
Her glassy blue eyes looked weary. For her, her best asset was her body. Rujan always told her that she looked like she hadn’t given birth to three boys. She sighed and started to dress. She wore a white graphic shirt, leggings, and flats.
She wondered whose room they occupied, but the boys were already awake, and she didn’t have time to think about it. "Good morning, Mama," Raiden said, hugging her. She hugged each one of them and helped them take their shower together to save time. They wore their favorite Marvel shirts and shorts.
She looked around the room; it was very tidy, minimalist, and had good lighting, like the closet. Very masculine. There’s a large window looking out over beautiful landscapes, with thin linen curtains on sheets set on the frame of the large window. She smiled as she whipped the curtains open to greet the day. Indeed, it’s a beautiful day.
She sighed as she noticed the once-perfect bedding was now a shambles, as if a whirlwind had passed through the center. She started by making the bed, which took some time to fix due to its size. She was sweating profusely afterward, and she could hear her stomach grumble. The boys assisted her by folding and placing their clothes in the laundry basket.
They went outside, and Sonya greeted them and ushered them into the great dining hall. Food was already served on the long dining table. "We already had our breakfast; you take your seats and enjoy your meal," Lerma said, smiling at them.
She had strange feelings for the people here. She appeared familiar to them, but she couldn't place them in her memories, and the way they looked at her gave her the impression that they knew who she was. When she saw that all the food was nutritious, she smiled with delight.
Her boys chose the vegan strawberry pancakes. She made them each a fruit and not a breakfast bowl. She was munching on the breakfast burrito when a man in a suit appeared in front of them.
"Good morning, boys!" he greeted, giving the boys a huge grin. "Good morning," the boys chorused and smiled at him. He looked at them tenderly, as if he missed them terribly. He turned to her, and he looked at her intently; his dark eyes bore to the depths of her soul. There’s an instant connection between them. His scent was now so flagrant that it touched all her senses.
"Did you rest well, Mrs. Griswold?" He asked softly. She just nodded, still looking at his face in awe. He was such a devilishly gorgeous, dark, and fine-looking creature, she thought. She was surprised when his thumb brushed the outside of her lips, took the speck of avocado, and brought his thumb to his lips.
"Hmmm... you're still crazy over Mexican food," he said. She felt the temperature of the room rise when he touched her.
What is happening to her? Who is this man? Why did he know her favorite food?
What options does she have? He had the kind of face that made you stop and think. She imagines he's grown accustomed to the sudden pause in a person's natural expression when they look his way, followed by a dismissive stare and a weak smile. He was aware of his impact on women and on her.
His scent was poignant and so familiar…
Her eyes widened. "The room we used last night is yours," she exclaimed. "Why?" she asked, bewildered.
"Because you belonged there," he replied, his gaze more intense now, like he wanted to devour her for breakfast.
"Huh?" Everleigh looked at him confused."You arrived unannounced; our rooms were not prepared for visitors." As a gracious host, I gave up my room to make you feel more comfortable. Don't worry; you'll be moved to the next room, which is next to the nursery," he said with a wink."Do you happen to be our uncle?" Raidan inquired. The man smirked but nodded."I am Rafael, the eldest. What can we call you, sir?""You can call me Daddy since you called Rujan Papa," he replied, smiling at Rafael. Is this Rufus Griswold, her husband's twin brother? She knew they were non-identical twins and that they weren't identical, but she hadn't expected such a stark difference between them. Rujan was charming and boyish. Brown hair and fair skin. Rufus, on the other hand, was mysterious and dangerous. It was shown on his thick brows, full lips, dark hair, bronze skin and his eyes were also dark. Deep, penetrating dark with his thick eyelashes"I think it's a little much." "I... we... will be here for
Sonya showed her the nursery; it was huge. Baby-proofing and lots of toys and children’s books "How come Rufus has a nursery right next to his room?" She asked herself. "This was constructed the moment the late Alpha knew Luna was carrying a twin," Sonya said. She nodded; she inspected the toys, but they seemed new, and all were recent models. Even the books were all new. She touched the stuffed toys. The nursery was impeccably clean and organized."It has only a twin bed, but Alpha ordered another bed as this was originally their old nursery, him and his twin brother. The bed will be delivered today," Sonya said. She went to the wooden horse and touched it. "Alpha made this himself and all the wooden toys. He’s a good artist, but I never saw his paintings aside from this wooden sculpture here. His work area, where he kept his artwork, was forbidden to everyone except for Whitton, who cleaned it from time to time," Sonya added. She went to the rocking chair. "This one was used by his
“Pak!’ Her hands went to his face in a sudden slap. Rufus touched his face, but it didn’t move him, as if the man were made of stone. His eyes dilated and changed color from black to a golden hue. He growled, and she instantly stepped back. She swayed a little; she wasn’t feeling well today, but she ignored it. She started to feel weak, but her adrenalin, due to anger, was keeping her to stay focus on the situation at hand. Everleigh was also surprised by her sudden reaction. She took a series of deep breaths to calm herself and closed her eyes as she waited for the blow from Rufus palm, but it didn’t come. She opened her eyes and saw the amused face of Rufus. "I like how you've changed, baby" he smirked. “We are in a dire situation right now, but I am not the woman you think I am. I cannot accept your offer. I never imagined that Rujan’s brother was as despicable as you! ," she said and ran. Upon reaching the room given to her, she started packing. The boys are still in the nurse
Everleigh was transferred to the master’s bedroom the day after she woke up. She protested, but Rufus ignored her. He was acting like an overprotective husband over his fragile wife. She hated being in bed, and Rufus hovered over her like a hen.She sat, and he was already in front of her, assisting her. He brought his work inside his room and found him beside her sleeping. He didn’t try to seduce her or anything, but his care was making her sway. “I will go to the bathroom,” she said, rolling her eyes.Without a word, Rufus scooped with his one hand while the other hand dragged the IV fluid handle. “Put me down, Rufus; I am not invalid. It was just the flu!" He put her down on the toilet seat, and she looked at him in exasperation. She wasn't used to this kind of intimacy, particularly with strangers, but she had a feeling that Rufus was not a stranger. His scent was so familiar that when she smelled it, something within her stirred
Everleigh was left in bewilderment. Her life was turned upside down in a matter of minutes because of the revelation. She knew a little about Rufus; Rujan spoke of him in a limited way, and she didn’t pry, though the animosity between the two of them was obvious.Rufus was famous in the business world, and he was on the front cover of the famous magazine last year and was interviewed a few times. Seeing him in person was different. His personality was striking and intimidating. The business world considered him ruthless in his dealings. Some articles even insinuate that his other resources came from the underworld. Though the world knew that the Griswolds were ancient with old money, she went to the balcony and watched her boys play with their father on the field. They were happy and carefree. She never saw them this happy. They were always cautious, and they matured at an early age. Her heart breaks when she realizes how much they missed in their lives. Kids are supposed to be playing
“We cannot tell the boys about you; they’ll get confused. They’re too young to understand our complicated relationship. They grew up with Rujan, and he was such a good father to them,” she said as she inspected the DNA test result. She asked him after they tucked the triplets into bed.“You underestimated our children, baby, but I’ll go with your plan. I don’t want to pressure you right now. I already have their affection. My alpha blood is stronger than anyone.”“What's with the alpha thing? Are you some kind of a cult leader? "She gasped as her imagination ran wild and connected it to the thriller movies she watched.Rufus chuckled at her absurdity. “What are you thinking? Tell me I could handle it even if it was the most absurd thing I’d hear.”“I’m thinking about blood sacrifices,” she answered.Rufus laughed again, and Whitton looked at them as if he were pleased that his master was laughing. “That was awful, but we hold ceremonial mating here. It was our tradition for centuries.
“Why are you here? Are you not feeling well? ”Rufus asked as he touched her forehead. She just shook her head and ignored him. “Your father and your sister left. They promised to visit you again,” he said. “He’s not my real father; he’s my stepfather, and Amelia is my younger half-sister. Why didn't you tell me such an important thing? ", she accused. “Because Edward may not be your father, but you loved him, and he adored you like a real father. You loved Amelia too, in fact...” He stopped and frowned. “How did you know this? Did you happen to recall some of your memories? ” “Yes,” she lied. “Amelia was the one for you, not me. I don’t understand why we had a relationship before if you like Amelia. ” “What are you talking about? ” “I ran away because you cheated on me,” she concluded, looking at his eyes directly to confirm what she had said. Rufus didn’t say a word; he just looked at her with this familiar look on his face. He was like Rujan when he wasn't telling the truth and
Everleigh dreamed of sending her children to school, but she didn’t expect that she would also come back to school. The boys were very excited. They woke up early and prepared their things for school. Rufus didn’t miss the opportunity to help them get their things done and assist them with their breakfast. She let him; she could see the joy in his face while helping them. She chose to wear cream slacks and a shirt. They looked like a happy family together. A limo was parked in the front yard, waiting for them. She saw three black luxury cars parked behind the limo. The boys were well behaved during the 15-minute drive to their school. Rufus took her hand and raised his brow when he noticed it was cold. She was nervous. He didn’t say a word, but was surprised when he pulled her close to him and kissed her temple.“Everything will be okay, baby, trust me.” She just nodded and made a deep sigh. The security opened the door for them, and she was surprised when the director, faculty, and s
The tense air in the ceremonial hall thickened as two more individuals were brought forward—a human male and a she-wolf, both trembling under the weight of their punishment. The human, Juan Pablo, stood tall but pale, his expression a mix of defiance and fear, while the she-wolf beside him kept her head bowed, her hands clenched into fists. The Queen Luna, ever poised and commanding, fixed her gaze upon them. “You,” she began, her voice sharp and clear, echoing through the chamber, “dared to bring a human into the sacred ceremony, violating the absolute rule. You have betrayed not only your mate but also the sanctity of this ritual.”Everleigh’s heart thudded in her chest as she watched. She had been captivated earlier by the Queen Luna’s grace and authority, but now, as she witnessed justice unfold, she couldn’t help but feel a pang of pity for the pair. She leaned closer to Rufus, whispering, “Is there a dungeon i
Draped in a flowing champagne-colored one-shoulder gown that shimmered subtly under the ceremonial lights, Everleigh sat poised beside Rufus, her fingers lightly brushing his arm. The ceremony unfolded before them, rich with tradition and grandeur. Earlier, they had attended Theo and Savannah’s heartfelt union, where the couple had worn elegant silver attire—a nod to their purity and commitment. Now, they watched as the royal Luna Queen and Alpha King, resplendent in striking red, black, and gold garments, presided over the sacred blood ritual. Their regal presence exuded authority, their movements deliberate and commanding. The air was thick with solemnity, the weight of centuries-old tradition palpable. Everleigh’s wide, curious eyes drank in every detail, her fascination evident. The Queen’s ceremonial gown glimmered like embers, its gold threading catching the flickering light of the ceremonial fires, while the Alpha King’s cape billowed dram
Everleigh felt Rufus stiffen beside her, his grip tightening on her waist. He pulled her closer, shielding her as his eyes darkened dangerously. A deep growl rumbled from his chest, low and menacing, as Lander’s gaze swept over her and lingered far too long on the curve of her figure beneath the silk robe. The growl was enough to ignite the gathering. Wolves snarled, their hackles rising in unison, a collective warning that echoed in the clearing. Everleigh instinctively leaned into Rufus, her pulse quickening as the tension grew.Rufus’s voice, sharp and commanding, cut through the noise. “Keep your eyes off my mate,” he snarled at Lander, his tone leaving no room for argument.Lander’s face flushed, a mixture of defiance and unease flashing in his eyes. Alice grabbed his arm, her expression tight with frustration as she tried to pull him back.“What are they doing here?” Everleigh whispered to Rufus, her voice laced with confusion. “I thought the royals
The moonlight bathed the playground of wolves in a silvery glow, casting long shadows across the glistening grass. Inside the secluded tent, Everleigh’s world was reduced to the wolf before her—Dark, her mate, her everything. His body, powerful and unyielding, moved against hers, their connection an exquisite symphony of need and love. His arousal stirred to life inside her, swelling, shifting, sending electrifying waves of pleasure coursing through her body. She gasped, her head falling back as her senses lit up, every nerve attuned to the intensity of his presence.“Yes,” he murmured, his voice a low, guttural promise as his dark lashes lifted, revealing the smoldering beauty of his gaze. His eyes held hers, raw and honest, as he pressed deeper, his body demanding what she was all too willing to give. “I’m staying inside you all night,” he said, his voice velvet-soft but commanding, each word a vow.H
The tent’s interior was bathed in the soft, golden glow of lantern light, the flicker creating dancing shadows against the fabric walls. Outside, the wild symphony of the mating wolves echoed—the snarls, yowls, and growls blending into a primal soundtrack that filled the night air. But inside the tent, they were in their own world, oblivious to the chaos beyond the canvas.Rufus sat on the edge of the large, plush bedding, his eyes never leaving her as she stood before him, bathed in the soft light that highlighted every curve of her body. Everleigh’s dress was already slipping from her shoulders, the fine clothes cascading like a whisper of silk down her arms. Her cheeks were flushed, her breaths uneven as his warm hands found her skin.“These,” he murmured, his voice deep and reverent, his hands sliding the fabric away completely to reveal her full breasts, heavy and flushed with her arousal. He cupped them with a tenderness that made he
The Alpha King smiled warmly at Everleigh. “Theo will be here soon. He’s been dying to see you,” he announced. “He’s bringing Savannah, his mate. You’ll like her,” Shanna added with a wink, her violet-blue eyes twinkling with amusement. “But for now, we’ll leave you to rest. Alpha Sixto and his daughter have arrived, and they’re in another receiving area.”Everleigh was about to respond when the Alpha King gestured to the staff. “We’ve prepared something special for you, Luna. I hope you enjoy it.” Moments later, two trays laden with food arrived, each dish more enticing than the last. Everleigh’s eyes lit up at the sight of delicate pastries, fragrant soups, and perfectly arranged fruit platters. “Oh, this looks amazing,” she said, her excitement evident as she reached for a small tart. Before she could take a bite, the door opened. Everleigh turned, her curiosity piq
“It’s been a long time since you visited Red Island,” the Alpha King began, his voice rich and calm as he studied Rufus. He leaned back in his chair, exuding a sense of effortless authority.“Yes,” Rufus replied with a respectful nod. “I’ve been busy finding my lost mate. Now that I’ve found her—and our triplets—I’ll be visiting Red Island more often.”The Alpha King’s sharp gray eyes glimmered with approval. “A family changes everything,” he said. “You’ve done well, Rufus. Perhaps on your next visit, you’ll consider using our facilities for your mate and pups. Red Island has some of the most sophisticated hospitals in the world, with exceptional doctors and healers—wolves who have been perfecting their craft for centuries.”Everleigh’s brows rose in mild surprise, and she tilted her head. “Healers?” she asked. “What kin
Everleigh thought the Griswold Castle was immense, an architectural marvel that always left her fascinated. But when the Royal Manor came into view, she was left utterly speechless. The estate sprawled across acres of pristine land, its sheer size and grandeur eclipsing anything she had seen before. It was a fortress and a palace combined—a true testament to the power and history of the wolves who lived there. The security was unlike anything she’d imagined. Sophisticated surveillance systems were seamlessly integrated with the ancient stone walls, and the grounds were alive with movement. Scouts patrolled in strategic patterns, their sharp eyes scanning every corner. Towering gates, adorned with intricate carvings of wolves and runes, stood as a formidable barrier to the outside world. Even from a distance, Everleigh could spot sentinels perched on high vantage points, their presence a silent reminder that this was no ordinary estate. As their sleek black
They arrived at Red Island, a stunning paradise that exuded opulence and elegance. The island’s skyline was a mix of towering, state-of-the-art buildings and luxury shopping malls clustered at its vibrant center. At the docks, three sleek black SUVs awaited their arrival, engines humming softly as if to promise a seamless transition into the lap of luxury. The vehicles glided through the pristine streets, passing lush greenery and extravagant villas before arriving at their destination—a breathtaking villa tucked away at the far end of the island. The villa itself was a masterpiece of modern architecture, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows that reflected the azure sky and an infinity pool that seemed to spill directly into the sparkling ocean. Its sprawling grounds were surrounded by tropical gardens, swaying palm trees, and private beach access.Rujan grinned as he stepped out of the SUV, his eyes sparkling with excitement. “I’ll teach you how to snorkel!” he announced to the triple
