Luce brought out the rebel in me. He was my bliss. With him, I tested my limits, to be honest with him, I had none. Lately, Lucifer, usually a very easy going angel had a dark mood, he would angrily lash out on his brothers and sisters. Acting out of his angelic nature. He seemed to be displaying human emotions. He was definitely spending too much time with humans. He was losing himself. During one of our sparring lessons, he was far from the angel that I knew. He was fighting dirty using his powers which caught me off guard. Luci pinned me to the floor when it looked like he was going punch me, he just stopped dropped to his knees and straddled me and stared at me. His eyes refused to leave mine. His ocean blue eyes swarmed with rage and with a look that I couldn't place. His long blond hair a mess over his face.“Luce, what are you doing? What’s wrong brother?’ His wings whipped open, and I saw the first stain on his once beautiful white wings. His base wings had turned black. He flew up and off of me. Lucifer turned his back to me and spoke in a threatening low voice. ’Jassmyine I am not your brother!’ Raising his voice you could hear the rage, despair, and sadness. ‘He allows those damn humans to have it all! But He denies me the only thing I have ever asked of him. Am I not good enough??’ His hand went to touch my face stroking it with a gentleness I didn’t know he had for the amount of rage he was displaying. I used his distraction against him and quickly threw him off me. Lucifer got to his feet looked around, he looked in my direction but not at me. Michael had entered the sparring room and just shook his head at Lucifer. Had he seen what transpired between us? I stepped towards Lucifer chin held high and allowed my power flowing through me. I used it to pluck a single feather from Lucifer’s wings. Turning his feather into an arrow, my bow appearing in my hand. (My weapon of choice.) I took aim and shot my beloved angel through his shoulder, pinning him in place I whispered to him ‘who are you to question Him?’ Michael looked at me than Lucifer. His nostrils flared. Michael held his hand out to me. I ignored him and changed from my sparring clothes to my formal robes and blinked to my twin. I needed air.

Oliva’s point of viewRayne and the duke seemed to be very familiar with one another. The duke was too familiar with Miss. Rayne. He always found a way to touch her, whether it be her hand, touching her tresses, her face when he decided to be so bold as to run his thumb along her bottom plump lip. “M’lord that is inappropriate touching right, there save that till after ye two are married.” The duke turned his face to glare at me. I stared at the man right back into his eyes and refused to look away. The corner of his mouth twitched up into a smirk, he opened his mouth slightly and ran his tongue over his unusually long tooth ensuring that saw it, before turning his attention back onto Miss. Rayne. I do not trust this man and I will be keepin me eye on this devil. “Miss. Rayne, it's time to retire to your room, miss.” “Nurse, I haven't finished my meal, I’m having a very stimulating conversation with the duke.” “Now miss you have all day tomorrow to talk with the duke.” “Oliva,” S

A scream escaped my mothers mouth as she witnessed the events as they unfolded, followed by the thud of Godric's body hitting the floor. “ I’m sorry you had to bare witness to that, I protect what is mine.” Sam stated looking at both my mother and my father. My father jumped out of his chair and turned towards me, grabbing me roughly by my arm, “This is due to you, speaking out of turn…” Sam grabbed my father’s hand forcing him to remove his hand from my arm. “Like I said I have no issue with right now, but do not take you being her father mean I will not do the same to you as I just did to the piece of shit laying on your floor if you lay another finger on her.” The look on my father’s face was pure outrage. “The contract is signed and she is mine rightfully and as stated in the binding contract I will stay here until we are married so your daughter would have the chance to know me. But I can clearly see that I now have a stronger conviction to stay and ensure her safety from the lik

My father paid no attention to the rake of man standing next to him. A servant announces that dinner was ready. “We should be seated, please follow me please.” My mother says, Marquess Browne offers his arm to me and I reluctantly take it as we begin to follow my parents to the dining hall. “You look lovely tonight my dear,” he says to me. I feign shyness, “thank you my lord, your compliment is most gracious.” “My lord” the butler addressed my father, “Duke Angelo has arrived and has requested to speak with you on an urgent matter.” My mother looks at my father quizzingly, he drops my mothers arm leaving us with the marquee. “Shall we?” my mother says, gesturing her hand towards the dining hall. Marquess Browne offers my mother his other arm, escorting us. Upon reaching the dining table the marquee pulls out my mothers chair to the left of the chair at the head of the table. As the marquee comes around to the other side of the table where he and I sit. I hear the laughter of my fat

“I see you have been rolling around in the grass again Rayne.” My mother sucked in her teeth and gave a scathing look to my nurse. “Ma’am I apologize, miss wanted to pick some of the more difficult herbs and tripped on her skirts…” My nurse tried to explain before my mother cut her off, “I don’t care what excuses you have for being late and she is supposed to be ready already. You know what today means if the marquess is fancied enough a marriage offer will be extended, which means a higher station for us.Put on her best dress and make haste.” My mother ordered both me and my nurse. “Not to worry, miss, many men fancy you. From what I hear from the servants that accompany your mother on her errands, your father has turned down many requests for your hand in marriage now that you're of age.” My nurse said to try to lift my spirits. I smile tightly back at her and nod my head. “The marquess miss you should be lucky to have him calling on you. He is not bad looking and very athletic too

With her hands on her lips she gives me a look that says she doesn;t believe me. “Off with ya, your father and mother are expecting visitors this eve for dinner. You miss need to get ready for it.” I stand up and dust the dirt from my skirts and comb my fingers through my hair picking out the grass that was caught in it. “Do you know who is coming?” She softens her face and looks at me sympathetically, “Aye miss I do, when we arrive at the manor you are to get changed in one of your finer dresses. Your father has arranged a suitor for ye the Marquess.” She says with pride. “Now let's be off.” She reaches for my hand and drags in the direction of the manor. I look behind me towards the tree line where Sam went, a stray tear escapes my eye. I yank my hand from my nurse's grasp, and turn back around “what do you think your doing miss?” She all but yells at me. “I forgot my basket, let me grab it.” I slowly make my way back to my basket. When a pebble hits my hand ouch I rub my hand and l

I sit once again in silence, I begin to hear a hum in the distance. I look up and stare straight ahead as a faint light no bigger than pin prick, which quickly began to multiply in every direction. Until the once dark prison was full of bright light that quickly surrounded me. It was all the power I had released being reabsorbed into my body. My flesh glowing and warmth invaded my soul. I could now feel the missing pieces of soul reuniting feeling whole again. Before I could relish in feeling one again, I felt an odd sensation in my center like a hot poker burning me from the inside out. I scream and claw at my middle; the pain only intensifies. The burning spreads to every limb until I’m consumed in heavenly fire. “Rayne,” I hear my nurse calling for me. “Where have you run off to?” I quickly gathered my basket full of herbs I was collecting. “Sam,” I whispered frantically. Sam’s head pops up amongst the tall grass, grinning at me. I run to him “ I must be off, she can't catch us to
