7. Miscarriage

She wanted to liquefy into the door, hoping that it would swallow her somehow and save her from this barbaric man. But fate wasn't on her side. Nothing was in her favor, never had been.

"Turn around," his voice was gruff and she could feel his hot breath on her ear. He was close. How was she supposed to turn around when was hovering over her and standing in her bubble?

She didn't move and perhaps the man wasn't very fond of stubbornness. She gasped loudly when she felt large hands on her waist and she swiveled around. Her hands instantly went down as she tried to pry his hands away. Some inches of her skin were visible because of the dress and his hands were touching exactly there.

His hand was huge and she was grasping his thumb in her whole fist trying to remove his hand, in doing so the netted veil got loosened and it slipped from her head and her shoulders but before it could fall on the floor, she grabbed it and bunched it on her chest.

For a fleeting second her eyes whipped up and her breath hitched by the dark intense look in those dark obsidian eyes.

She abruptly looked down and continued to struggle as her eyes became glassy. His grip was firm and like steel no matter how much she struggle he won't let go.

Hamza watched in dire silence as she tried to struggle. He didn't know that grabbing her waist would make his hands come in direct contact with her soft skin. It was cold as ice. Her waist was small. She struggled like a child which caused her veil to slip and he got a glimpse of her dark brown locks. He couldn't see the length of her hair but the way a few strands covered her face made her look beautiful.

"M..maine nhi m...mara usay. M..mujhe Jane den..." (I didn't kill him. Let me go).

She said in a small pleading voice and he was brought back to reality. He let go of her rather abruptly and his eyes darkened.

"You were the only one with him. Everything had your fingerprints and you say you didn't kill him." He hissed in an angry voice but he was a lot calmer this time.

"I...I... had just hit him with a lamp. I..it wasn't that hard, he was alive when I ran away from there." She said with the mustered up courage while looking down at the floor as she wrapped her netted veil around herself, trying to hide as much as she could.

"Alright, I believe you and I'll let you go..." He stated, and her head whipped in his direction. Her wide eyes stared at him in shock and fleeting happiness when he continued his sentence.

"Only if you tell me the name of the person who paid you to do all that with Zeeshan." His voice was cold and her heart wavered in pain. Her gaze dropped down to the floor and she was tongue-tied once again.

It was as if no matter what she says or how many times she tells him the truth, he would never believe her. She was getting so tired of all this. She wants it to end soon.

"M..mujhe n..nhi pata u...usay kisne mara..." (I don't know who killed him.) Hooriya stuttered, her voice shaky and drained.

Hamza closed his eyes shut as he turned around and walked further into the room. F*cking annoyance. His head started to throb in pain and he was so done with her innocent facade.

His phone started to ring as he picked up the call. "Hamza, please come home. H...Hafsa... she's... please just come home." Batool was full-on crying as she pleaded with her son to come home soon.

Hamza felt his heart coming to his mouth as he turned around to leave but her sight made his blood boil. Prowling towards her, he grabbed a fist full of her hair and jerked her head back earning a painful cry from her.

Hooriya cried as she closed her eyes shut in pain and tried to free her hair from his lethal grasp. But he only applied more pressure and jerked her head causing her eyes to shoot open wide as they met with the darkest obsidian ones.

He was gripping her hair such brutally that her face was towards the ceiling and the beast of a man was hovering over her.

His body touched hers, and instantly her hands came forward as a barrier between their bodies. "I swear if anything happened to my sister. You are a done case." He snickered at her face menacingly. Jerking her face he pushed her away rather roughly causing the side of her body to hit the wall as she tried to save herself from falling.

Hamza prowled out of the room. His steps were fast as he spotted Farhan. "Keep an eye on her." He said and left from there.

Hooriya rubbed her arm as she noticed blood on her gauze. The stitches might've torn up. Big fat tears poured out of her eyes as she continued to stare at the gauze, her whole body was aching and she felt so weak, drained, tired.

She didn't have any more energy to go through this again and again. He would continue to ask her who paid her to kill him and she would continue to deny everything. It would be like a never-ending cycle until he'll finally be fed up and kill her.

She didn't realize but she was silently crying, staring at her now bloodied gauze. Why did her life have to come to this point? Weren't all those miseries enough for her that new had to pile in. For how long would this all go on?

The door opened and she flinched back as her fear-filled eyes snapped in the direction to find Farhan standing there. His eyes darted to her bloodied gauze and he left without a word.

A few seconds later he was back holding the first-aid box. He came towards her and she flinched back as if he would hurt her just like that beast.

Farhan stopped in his tracks. "Your wound needs treatment." He said motionlessly and she just blinked, staring down at the floor.

They were the ones who gave her this wound and now they want to treat it. The difference was that the beast guy was ruthless and this guy had a little bit of a kind soul in him.

She didn't say anything and he simply forwarded the box to her.

She didn't take it, instead, she walked towards the corner of the room where the pizza box lay. Not looking at it at all, she sat down in the corner, bringing her knees to her chest, and she hid her face behind her arms.

She heard him placing the box on the floor and then the door closed followed by the clicking sound as he locked the door.

Hooriya wiped her tears but they kept on pouring out. Her life wasn't a bed of roses before but this was worse than that.

What does he think of himself? God huh? He was a freaking bully. A cruel brainless man who can't even identify between truth and lie.

It was like he had believed that she had killed that man and now he'll make her accept it no matter what.

Who was Zeeshan to this ruthless man? How did that guy die when she just hit him with a lamp? She was sure she heard him groaning in pain. He was fully alive, just wounded and nothing more.

He even texted her Maalik (master) to take her back. She didn't know what was happening anymore. She didn't have any energy to face that guy. He said something about his sister, why would he hurt her if something happened to his sister?

He was a psycho.

One thing she was sure of, was that the man was a criminal. No wonder he abducted her and kept a gun with him.

She wondered if Maalik had filed a complaint against Farhan to the police because he was the one who kidnapped her and brought her here.

There were just so many things going through her head and her tears just won't stop falling. While crying she peeked through her lashes and when she found no one in the room. She sat down with crossed legs.

Grabbing the box with her unwounded hand she placed it on her lap and opened the box. The delicious-looking pizza stared back at her which helped her to divert her mind away from the burning pain of her wound. It was cold but it was the most peaceful thing she had seen since she was here. Her mouth watered at the sight of it which made her stomach growl loudly. She cleaned her hand with her veil as much as she could and grabbed a slice. She took a bite and the thought that it might be drugged hit her but then again if they want to drug her they could easily do that with force, they don't have to buy pizza just to knock her out.

While crying and sniffing she ate her pizza in silence. At least the Farhan guy was kind enough to bring this for her, if it was for the beast he would've made her starve to death.

Hamza stalked into the haveli (mansion). His strides were fast and his stance stoic. Akram stood at the stairs looking pale. Hamza didn't have to ask him to know where his mother and sister were. He went straight into his mother's room only to be met with the cruelest scene ever.

Hafsa was sitting on the floor against the wall. There was blood on the floor, in the middle of the room and that wasn't it. There was blood on her clothes.

Batool was standing near the door with the help of the cane as she was crying. Their family doctor stood there as well. Fear and shock were written all over her face. It didn't take him much time to put the two and two together.

Hafsa stood up on her shaky legs as she teetered toward her brother. "Hamza," she said stoically as her brother walked towards her as well.

She grabbed his shirt in her bloody fists, her eyes were red-shot as she looked at him with a broken look all over her face.

"Look at all this blood, Hamza. I lost my baby. He was two months old and now he was gone just like his father." Hafsa said emotionlessly. The raw emotions of despair in her brown eyes twisted his heart.

"Calm down Hafsa, you need medical help," Hamza said calmly, controlling his mirage of emotions. Never in his life had he thought he would see her sister like this. So broken and disheveled, falling apart bit by bit.

"I lost everything in just two days. My husband. My baby. It's all gone, how will I be able to live anymore?" She mumbled in a faraway voice, her eyes had a lost look.

Hamza grabbed her shoulders as he guided her towards the bed and made her lay on it.

"Ami," (Mom). He motioned to his mom to sit beside Hafsa, Batool instantly obliged as Hamza moved away.

"I will not get any treatment or checkup. Isn't it clear to you all that I lost everything? It would be better if I die as well." Hafsa said calmly, making Batool gasp.

"Don't say such things Hafsa. Let the doctor treat you," he said and Hafsa's eyes flashed in his direction. "Which sort of brother are you? Here I'm losing everything one by one and you can't even find who killed my husband?" Hafsa seethed as tears poured out of her eyes.

Hamza's jaw clenched as he tried to maintain his calm but he was losing it. "I'll kill all of them, you have my words. I'll bring justice to your husband only if you listen to me and let the doctor treat you." Batool watched her son silently as the doctor came to Hafsa's side of the bed.

"If you couldn't give justice to my Zeeshan, then you are not my brother anymore, for me you died along with Zeeshan," Hafsa said the cruel words bitterly.

Batool gasped. "Hafsa," She said sternly.

"Treat her," Hamza ordered the doctor as he trekked out with only one thing roaming his head.

He was done playing the nice guy.
