Hi guys,

To everyone who's thinking that I've abandoned this story...I haven't. I had initially planned on updating this story first in June and then my mafia story in July, but there has been a slight change in plans. As you know, inspiration ins't susceptible to a timetable and even brfore June hit, I knew that the story I wanted to continue with first was the mafia one: Taming the Mafia King (which...if you haven't read, please do, I promise you won't be disappointed).

So the update schedule has changed and this book will be uploaded from next month and finished in the next month as well...hopefully. My mafia story, I do plan on finishing up this month.

So please have patience and bear with me. New updates will be coming soon with a lot more exciting stuff happening because there's still a lot of story to tell.

Also, please do leave your valuable reviews. It doesn't matter if you want to give me a positive or negative review, but reviews help a writer grow and understand what the audience wants (aside from updates...). So, please take some time to leave a review, however short, so I know that I'm doing alright, or if you guys want to see improvement in the plot or more drama.

Thank you for your patience and for staying with me for so long! Happy reading, Happy Pride Month! Lovage!!!!

  • The Bad Boy's Innocent Obsession   Update Delay

I'm extremely sorry to have to post this message, but I really don't have a choice. The Bad Boy's Innocent Obssession will be uploaded in August. Unfortunately, I'm currently working on three of my Exclusives that haven't finished yet and will finish this month. I cannot get into the headspace of writing a bad boy while writing werewolf, billionaire and mafia side by side. I really wish I could, but it's giving me trouble with concentration. Also, July is my birth month, so towards the end, I'll be going on a short little vacation, a bit over a week, to my uncle's house in another state, so I won't be able to update during that time either. Which is why i've decided to update this story in August, so no one will get frustrated because of the discontinuation towards the end. Extremely sorry once again. I promise this will be worth the wait. So please bear with me. I will give you the best I can next month.

  • The Bad Boy's Innocent Obsession   Chapter 50: Family Dinner

Chapter 50: Family Dinner Faith’s P.O.V “You’re being awfully quiet.” I muttered, looking at Debby from under my lashes as we waited in the parking lot of the restaurant where we were supposed to meet Debby’s mom for dinner. “Am I?” Debby looked like she was forcing a smile for my sake. “Sorry, I must have been distracted.” “Debby…be honest with me?” I sighed, turning to look at her from the passenger’s seat. “You’re not happy about me and Brandon, are you?” “No…no, it’s not that!” She shook her head immediately, but I knew she was lying. “You’ve been quiet the entire ride and I know you’re lying because you haven’t been meeting my eye even as we talk.” I listed off the points I had noticed. “I thought it through, Debby…and I want to give this a try…I really do.” “Look, Faith,” finally, she turned to meet my eyes, but hers were filled with worry. “I am happy for the two of you, especially Brandon. His life had been filled with ups and downs and god only knows how many hardships!

Chapter 51: Eavesdropping Faith’s P.O.V “How much longer do you need to stay in the hospital for?” I asked Brandon over the phone, from the bathroom stall at school. The setting kinda reminded me of the first time I met Brandon…when he was err…let’s not bring back foul memories, shall we? “Maybe in two days, if all tests come back fine tomorrow.” His voice sounded tired. He had to go through a lot of health checkups and tests today, and even though his leg and ribs haven’t healed fully, if his x-rays and scans were clear, then he’d be allowed to go back to his apartment soon. “Are you going back to your apartment, alone?” I asked a little hesitantly. “Won’t you go stay with your dad?” I knew that his relationship with his dad was shaky at best, so I didn’t want to bring up a topic he wasn’t really comfortable with, especially when he was still unwell. But at the same time, I was still worried about hi

Chapter 52: Home Sweet HomeFaith’s P.O.VTwo days later, Bass drove Brandon back to his apartment while I sat next to him in the car; all the windows tinted black so that no one would know who was inside, even though it was six in the evening.Brandon was able to walk without the help of crutches, but the plaster stayed on and he did need support to walk from time to time, but for the most part, he had recovered a lot.The skin that had been singed off his arm was now a light pink, sometimes red, and as per the doctors, it’ll take a couple weeks before it returns to its original color, but they had promised it wouldn’t scar as long as he followed their instructions to the T.As a model, I could only hope that he wasn’t left with any scars that could cause problems for his career. From what I’ve heard via Debby, his father had ordered his scheduled to be cleared for the next four month

Chapter 53: An Almost DisasterFaith’s P.O.VAs soon as I had all the ingredients in front of me…I was beginning to regret my decision of trying to act the perfect girlfriend who makes her boyfriend perfect home cooked meals when he’s sick.Maybe I was forgetting the point that I didn’t know how to cook in the first place?Watching someone else do it was far easier than having everything on the table in front of you and not knowing what to do from here on out. From what I had initially thought of making, I had wanted to go with egg fried rice, since it was a quick meal and only needed a few ingredients: eggs, day old rice from the fridge and a few frozen veggies thrown in the mix.Of course, it was in no way authentic, but it would suffice as a quick meal. However…I had forgotten the fact that Brandon had been in the hospital for several days, weeks even, and there was

  • The Bad Boy's Innocent Obsession   Chapter 54: Sleep-Over

Chapter 54: Sleep-OverFaith’s P.O.VBrandon’s lips came down on me a second later, frying my brain and overwhelming all my senses.I made a sound at the back of my throat that I didn’t even recognize and Brandon’s hands cupped my cheeks, deepening the kiss. His tongue ran over my bottom lip, before he sucked it into his mouth and let go with a hot, wet sound that made a shiver run down my spine. He made his way down my neck and I took the opportunity to gasp in some much needed air that my lungs were deprived of.“Brandon…” I gasped, my hands going to his hair to tangle with the cool, damp strands. “Stop.”I had to say it, even though I didn’t want to. But Brandon complied immediately, his lips stopping on the side of my neck as he pulled back to look at my face. His own breathing was more than a little ragged as he placed his hands on my waist, h

  • The Bad Boy's Innocent Obsession   Chapter 55: First Time

Chapter 55: First TimeFaith’s P.O.VBrandon’s eyes were wide as he heard my confession. “Faith…are you sure about this?”I nodded my head almost enthusiastically. “I am.” I reassured him. “I don’t care if you think this isn’t how you want my first time to be, this is how I want it! I don’t care about anything else but you. I just…I just don’t want you to get hurt.”The red marks on his hand scared me. They ran the entire length of his arm, his shoulders and even his back. What if I accidentally end up hurting him? Would his scars get worse if we…Oh, god! Why hadn't I thought of this before I told him that I wanted to have sex with him?“Brandon…I…” I lifted off the bed, ready to tell him that I changed my mind. But my words were silenced in my throat when he leaned down and captured my lips in his, making any protests I had, die down in my throat.I made a strange noise at the back of my neck when my back hit the bed once again, and Bandon climbed on top of me, using his hands on ei

Chapter 56: The Replacement RingFaith’s P.O.VThe feeling of someone’s fingers tracing my skin was the first thing that woke me up…the second being the soft kiss they planted to the base of my neck, sending a shiver down my spine.“Morning.” Brandon’s voice was husky, rough…and it brushed against my senses in all the right ways.Groggily, I opened my eyes to his room, the curtains all closed up to prevent even a single ray of light from entering his room. “Is it morning already?” I asked him sleepily, my voice all but a hoarse whisper. The room was still dark, even though there was some light that perforated the curtains, allowing me to see the contents of the room. The vanity was on the other side of the room and the wardrobe right next to it. I think the color scheme was blue, but with the lights down so low, I couldn’t really tell if it was actually a dark green or blue.“Ummhmmm…” Brandon made a rumbling sound in his chest, that I felt throughout my body since his chest was press

Chapter 100: To the FutureFaith’s P.O.VInstead of answering me right away, he took the pendant from the trey and went behind me to place it around my neck, securing the clasp behind my back. The cool metal fell around my neck easily, and a sense of nostalgia overwhelmed me as I remembered my mother wearing it all the time. But I wasn’t allowed to dwell on the nostalgia for long since I felt his warm breath fanning my skin before I felt him lean down and place a tender kiss on my shoulder.“I didn’t want to give back the pendant…because when you weren’t with me, when we weren’t together, this was the only thing that connected me to you.” He whispered against my ear, his arms coming around me to wrap around my middle. “I threw it away once…when I thought you were too good to be with me, that I didn’t want to taint you with my darkness…and it was right here, at this very beach. But the waves gave it back to me; almost like it was fate…they didn’t want me to lose the only good thing in

Chapter 99: The PendantFaith’s P.O.VI felt my breath leave my lungs temporarily as I descended down the stairs and there he was…dressed in a black shirt with its sleeves rolled up to his elbow and black dress pants that fit him like a glove. In his hands was a humongous bouquet of red roses that looked bright and luscious, their fragrance filling the air with sweetness that felt almost like a scene out of a movie.I watched his eyes widen slightly as they landed on me, his lips parting in a small gasp, and his eyes, when they met mine, held promises that made my insides quiver with excitement and my heart almost skip a beat.In all honesty…we hadn't been intimate for a long time now, considering how we had both been through so much…but now, looking at him today, I found myself anticipating the end of the night more than the date itself.Maybe we can just forget about the date and just head to his apartment already?Brandon’s lips tilted up in a small smile and it felt like he knew e

Chapter 98: The First DateFaith’s P.O.V“Finally! Exams are over!” Nik threw her hands up in the air as she did a little ‘happy dance’ before turning to Debby and me. “Let’s go out this evening!”“Go out? Where?” I asked, raising my eyebrows skeptically.Usually, Nik’s idea of going out wasn’t the best of plans. The last time we went out together, not only did she get the wrong address, but we were thrown out of the club since none of us had fake IDs and we weren’t allowed in unless we were twenty one. Now, I watched as Debby nodded enthusiastically to Nik’s proposal, ever the supportive girlfriend…even though I was starting to worry about what trouble they were going to get into this time.“Leave me out.” I sighed, walking down the stairs to join them at the courtyard. “I’ll be heading home first.”“Why? Do you have plans already?” Debby smirked with a knowing look in her eyes.“I do.” I nodded, laughing at her expression. “Brandon asked me out on a date.”“Oh! Really!” Nik looked a

Chapter 97: A New BeginningFaith’s P.O.V“Good morning!”Startled, I looked towards the door to see Ethan poking his head in with a wide grin on his face. “How have you been?”“Ethan!” I smiled at his presence, glad to see him. “It’s good to see you. I’m getting discharged today.”“Yup. Just heard the reception discussing that.” He came forwards to stand beside the bed, where I sat already dressed in casual clothing, ready for the nurses to take me out as soon as Brandon was done with the paperwork. “How are you? Bran told me everything…about what happened yesterday.”I nodded, sad that everything had to come to this. “I’m glad everything is over now.” I told him. “And I can start over from scratch. It’s all a new beginning for all of us.”Ethan gave me a look that said that even though it was a new beginning for some of us…there were still lingering feelings left.“At least I still get to be friends with you.” He finally said with a sigh. “But if Brandon treats you bad again…I will

Chapter 96: ForgivenessFaith’s P.O.VBrandon and I faced Julia alone, Scott deciding to wait outside for the time being.Even though I wanted Brandon beside me, I didn’t show it. Neither did I tell him. Instead, I watched him take a seat on one of the couches on the opposite side of the room, far from me and Julia.I knew he was giving us space, letting me and her settle our differences. It was what was most important. But at the same time, I couldn’t help but miss his presence, his support. No matter how brave of a front I put up…I was still worried about what had transpired between him and Julia at her house.“Thank you…” Julia told me now, her eyes appearing haunted as she looked up at me tiredly. “For not complaining against me…even after everything I did…”I saw tears well up in her eyes as she swallowed hard, her emotions clearly all over the place. “Why? Why did you help me? I’ve been the shittiest person to you…I’ve bullied you, spoke badly about you…tried to steal Brandon aw

Chapter 95: Don’t Want TroubleFaith’s P.O.VI didn’t particularly like this feeling of helplessness…not at all. And I wasn’t even worried about myself at the moment. The cops stayed in the room, keeping their watchful eyes on me as if I was going to get up and jump out the window to escape them. Well…unfortunately, this wasn’t some kind of survival episode and I was definitely not into Fast and Furious. Besides, I just had a surgery! How did they expect me to escape when I was barely able to move without support?I kept looking at the clock on the wall, waiting desperately for someone, anyone, to arrive! Debby waited patiently by my side, her hand in mine a kind of reassurance that everything was going to be alright and that help was on its way. However, even though the clock seemed to tick at a snail’s pace and a minute felt like an eternity, I didn’t actually have to wait long before people started pouring into my room.First came my aunt and George, their worried faces instantly l

Chapter 93: Unexpected Confrontations Brandon’s P.O.V The plain white walls of the six storied apartment building brought on a bittersweet avalanche of memories as I got out of the elevator on the second floor and walked down the almost familiar hallways before coming to a stop in front of the same door where I had stood in front of countless times before. Memories from the past came rushing back in waves, making me recall all the times I had stood in front of this very door, sometimes with an expensive bouquet of roses in my hand and sometimes with takeout from a fine dining restaurant. How many times had we slammed these very doors? Sometimes in passion, sometimes in anger and sometimes in dejection? Time was indeed a funny thing, wasn’t it? Because once, when these same emotions had threatened to engulf me in agony…now they were like fleeting images at the back of my mind, hardly evoking even a quarter of the same emotions that I had once felt for the woman who lived behind the
