Sapphire

I thought I'd never hear those words, considering where they're coming from.

"I'm sorry." He said. His voice was low and even. In the still night that was the loudest noise. Through those words came following the expressed guilt. "I've been everything that you've blamed me of. Today, I did over react on certain things. What didn't require such adverse attitude had been handled wrong. And I'm sorry for that."

"It wasn't your fault entirely. I've been unreasonable too." I said, "Can I ask you something? But you have to honest with whatever you have to say."

"Proceed."

"Why were you so mad at me? I know I was being unreasonable but you never speak to me like that."

Sean had no answer. Though I couldn't see him, I knew he was struggling to come up with a response.

"It's late, pretty girl. We'll talk tomorrow." He said.

I got up from his chest. "We have to talk, Sean. And it's going to happen now. Please, I can take it. Just tell me what that matter is."
