I sat on the plush couch, my eight-month-pregnant belly protruding like a rounded globe. The scandals that had once plagued Aaron and my marriage were long forgotten. He had been able to convince his parents that our union had started as a mere contract, but love had blossomed along the way, and now, we were starting a family together.
