Attached to him

After we had finished our late lunch Roman suggested that we take a walk around the park before heading back home. It was very warm out today, but thankfully it was not raining.

We spent most of the afternoon walking. We didn't really talk but enjoyed each other's company. Roman held my hand throughout this entire time.

Every now and then he would squeeze my hand to tell me to hurry up because he was hungry. But I wanted to keep walking so that we could just enjoy the view in front of us. So I decided to slow down a little bit because I knew that Roman was probably starving.

He then took my hand and led me to a bench under a tree near a small lake. I sat down beside him and he placed his arm around my shoulders.

"You're so beautiful," he whispered.

This made my chest hurt and tears form in my eyes. He noticed and pulled me closer to him.

"What's wrong?" he asked concerned.

"Nothing. Please don't worry," I responded and then wiped the tears away from my cheeks.
