Myla paced around the room. What could she do? She needed to help him. She needed to find a way to help Noah before it was too late.

She had half a mind to summon her mother, but the moon goddess would be busy giving new mates at this hour, it would be annoying to be pulled from work.

She sat on his bed, and wrapped his blanket around her. He smelled like he should again. Their scents were mixed completely, so much that she couldn't figure out where his began and hers ended. It smelled right. She closed her eyes, going through her mind, trying to figure out how to extract poison from the bloodstream.

That was why he hadn't hung out around the twins for so long. She wiped a tear with her sleeve, thinking about how Noah hadn't even enjoyed having a mate for long at all.
