Alex watched as his father went to thank Myla for sharing food to the elderly in the pack. He was incensed, she always woke up at the crack of dawn to cook and deliver the food. She never once served him by hand, never even put the plate on his table.

She would cook and leave it in the pot, specifically pointing out that he had hands and could serve himself.

She made him so angry, always ignoring him, never looking at him when she was supposed to be speaking to him. He had lived with her for ten years and in those years, she only spoke to him to insult him. If he didn't love her he would have ripped out her uncouth tongue.

At school, the first person he saw was Hailey, as usual. Ever since he saw that Hailey and Myla had beef, he had decided to hang around Hailey more, if only to make Myla jealous. He saw that her eyes were always on him whenever he was around Hailey, that was one way to get her to look at him.
