Throughout the more than an hour drive, Ley remained seated on the backseat with his eyes closed, listening to the prayers and grumblings of people calling out his name. At the same time, he was very alert to any suspicious event in his surroundings. When he was only a kilometer away from the bungalow, he opened his eyes.
