A loud thump reverberated around the pink wooden porch as Dillon dropped his trash bag and knocked on the door. When nobody answered for a minute, he pulled a cigarette out and rang the doorbell instead. As he walked over to sit in one of the white wicker porch chairs, he saw he only had five left. Damn, he'd been a chimney lately. Luckily, he had a few more packs in his drawstring bag that he bought when he stopped for gas.
The click and creak of the front door made him whip his head around. Ethan came out, Chloe close behind. The second she saw Dillon, she sprinted over t

It couldn't be… had Tony… No, he made his stance clear and he was right to. The facility probably had funds for certain patients that qualified. Dillon was a type-one diabetic after all, so they probably wanted to be cautious. The stress from the withdrawals had made diabetic care more difficult and had started to affect his blood sugar. The double doors clicked and groaned with age as Dillon pulled himself out of his mind. When he turned around, there was a very short woman in the doorway. She was in a white doctor coat and had a briefcase with her.
As Dillon got out his pack of cigarettes and lighter, he found a seat across from the old man. Waves of physical relief still coursed through his body from head to toe. The Suboxone worked quickly and efficiently. It had him in a very bright mood, but it was different than the false-happiness the Tramadol had brought. The medication brought him relief, yes, but it didn't make him high or buzzed. Dillon was genuinely cheerful.
The entire house smelled absolutely incredible as Dillon wound his way through it to step outside for a cigarette. The clock on the wall in the kitchen had read seven thirty, so Ethan's friend should be there any minute. It was a later dinner than usual, but nobody seemed to care much. They usually ate dinner late, then went to bed early to rise early the next day.

"It's dumb I can't talk while it dissolves. Like, why? But I digress- it's not that bad. More of an annoyance 'cause I can't talk or smoke or eat. Just tastes like orange with a medicinal aftertaste. Not great, but not terrible. It works, that's all I care about,
"Guh- 'atta boy, Dill! Choke on me!" Tony grunted. As he pistoned his hips, he held Dillon's head down. The air in his lungs had started to become laden with carbon dioxide, but he wasn't allowed up. Even if he
Back at the apartment, Dillon piled the stuff they brought up in the guest room. Since the guest bedroom was so very rarely used, it was the perfect storage space for their chairs, fold up tables, coolers,
"Look here," Dillon said softly and he gently turned Tony's face to look him in the eye. He'd looked away as emotion had threatened to overwhelm him. "I… can't change the past, but I can assure you of yer future. Tony, you'll
As the hand that gripped Dillon's right wrist tightened and pulled slightly, he groaned softly and took another breath. What were his options? The arm around his neck was a no-go, but if he could free his right arm, perhaps he'd have the leverage to flip him? If he could pry his thumb off, he could break his grip. 'Fuck! That's out too!' Dillon thought bitterly as he

"Good man, I'm glad to hear. I remember that day like it was yesterday. Such simple, innocent times, eh?" Tony yawned and gave a content stretch. Dillon could relate, his body was pleasantly heavy and his vision had a warm fuzziness edge to it, if that made any sense.
