The waiter arrived with their drinks and they both gave their thanks. Up until that point, Tony didn't buy any of what Ethan tried to sell him. The further he got into the story however, the more he believed him. Tony knew all of Ethan's tells that showed when he lied. He was a terrible liar to begin with, and couldn't make them up on the spot like that. Not just that, but he could see the emotions in his eyes and he felt his regret so thickly he could cut it with a knife. He knew Ethan inside and out. For the first time, Tony listened. He heard him out seriously as he continued.

Once Tony had finished the best meal he had for the second night in a row, he went to pay the bill. Ethan beat him to it, though. The bastard had his card out of his wallet and ready to go in his jeans pocket the whole time. It had made Tony feel cared about that his big brother wouldn't let him pay. He had gotten so used to the role of big brother with Dillon that he forgot what it felt like to be the little bro again. It was a nice change, not that he minded his big brother status with Dillon. Quite the contrary, actually. Once in a while though, it was nice to be treated to something. He knew that if Dillon was able to work more that he would surely treat Tony as often as he could. The kid was that kind of person.
Ethan appeared again from what Tony could only assume was the kitchen. Chloe was in tow, and Tony's heart melted. 'So fucking adorable!' He thought. She was definitely a chocolate lab, relatively young, and she had the brightest amber eyes. If Dillon were there he would've lost his shit over her. The second Chloe saw Tony, she bounded towards him and hopped up with h
Old man Charles took a long drag of his smoke and tossed one to Tony, who lit up right away. Awesome dude, but he felt a pang of annoyance at his laughter. What was so funny about the fact that Ethan threw him away back then? It was a double dose of irritation as he thought about how long it took his brother to realize he was important. What the hell? As Charles exhaled, he looked Tony dead in the eye."I'll tell you the same thing I tell everyone else that comes through these doors without firsthand knowledge of the struggle- and

"Well what are you waitin' for?! Strip and get in yer spot! NOW DILLON!" Tony grabbed his hair again and smacked him across the other cheak. He shoved Dillon's head towards the bedroom and let go abruptly.
"Love you too, man," Dillon replied with a small smile.Tony kissed his forehead and smiled fondly down at him. While Dillon sat and finished his Pepsi and crackers, Tony went around the room and grabbed stuff for their shower. Once he had picked out their clothes, he grabbed a couple towels and washcloths and threw them on the bathroom floor. Finally, Dillon started to feel back to his normal self. It didn't take long for the sugar to kick in, typically only about ten minutes if it was processed sugar. It took a little longer if it was starchy things like bread or similar. That'
"Hey," Dillon said as he separated from him. "What's that 'round yer neck?""H-huh? The chain, duh," Tony said in a bemused tone."What's on the chain?"
Dillon had woken up around two and got Tony up. It was a strangely restful sleep. For Dillon it was restful with wild dreams included. While the two of them felt well rested they were still groggy. Fast food might give one good sleep but at the end of the day it's all salt and preservatives that made one feel heavy. Tony mitigated that when he put on a pot of extra strong coffee. After they were rested and alert they convened in the living room.
