I practically dragged myself into the bar, my waist twisting with each step it took. I knew I looked gorgeous, I hardly look anything like anything less. But I wasn't feeling my best.

For starters, I just had an argument with my mother over the phone, and she was getting extra cranky at the absence of love in my life. She didn't believe I was trying and she was pressuring me to come out of the closet, if I was in any.

As much as I loved my mother, I hated talking to her about my love life, or lack of one. She always compared me to my brother who was about to get married and It always put a damper on my mood, like now.
