Chapter Ninety-Two

Eliana’s POV

Lucy dragged us about to meet her friends and well wishers, who fussed over us, well, me. Noah had a death glare on his face, so everyone avoided him like a plague.

There were many comments from people, most well wishes, some compliments. I felt a lot better about the party.

Lucy held my hand and took me to the table beside hers, completely giving up on Noah, who stalked away angrily, muttering something about getting rid of certain people. Seeing Bella with Alex disturbed him deeply, it confused me as well. Bella hated alex, she couldn’t possibly do one eighty in a week, could she?

Mental reminder to grill her immediately when I get her alone.

Lucy dragged me to the table beside hers, and pairs of eyes turned to look at me, scrutinising every spot of my clothes. The dread I had been feeling set in ten folds as I took in everyone’s faces. There were six women, four mature women close to Lucy's age, and two young women my age.
