Eliana’s POV

Noah’s jaw ticked as he dropped the call, face hard as stone and his blue dark eyes empty like a bottomless pit.

I flinched as he punched the wall, his icy gaze landing on me, the muscle on his forehead pulsing as his eyes bored into me. I swallowed hard. He knew. Oliver told him.

"What's going on?" I squeaked, finding courage to speak.

"Eliana, " my name rolled out of his tongue, void of any of the warmth I was used to. "I'll ask just one question," he said, walking to the window.

The silence as I swallowed echoed in my ears and I tried to focus on something other than my anxiety.

"What's the question?" I stuttered, my voice betraying my emotions. I was confused and scared of everything. What was going on? Why was Oliver doing this?

"What did Oliver want?" I added, my voice coming out more confident than it did earlier.

"That's none of your business, Eliana." He spat, his previously cold eyes now blazing with fire as he glared at me, hatred filled in the eyes that
