Impatience and Frustration

Simon's POV

‘Hey baby', the calm voice sounds over the phone as soon as I pick it up

‘Sarah!!, where are you', I was out of my chair the very second, crashing a few of the papers on m desk to the floor,

I payed them no mind, frantic in the search for my car keys

Silence reigned over the phone, punctuated by my repetitive call for her name

‘Sarah, baby, say something please’, I checked my phone repeatedly, trying to make sure she was still on the phone

‘Found it', in the scattered mess of my desk and drawers, I finally found the infernal keys

I check my phone one more time

‘Good, she was still on the line’, I think with a little relief

‘Sarah, where are you, I would come, just tell me', my voice cracked as I spoke into the phone hoping she heard my desperation.

I stop at the door, waiting for her to say something

‘Cool your jet's my dear', the calm voice in which she talked put my head on a rollercoaster
