A solemn vow

‘Repeat after me', I stare at her, incredulity crossing my face as she points two fingers in the air, beside her face, she grabs my arm and makes me do the same after few moments of staring,

‘I solemnly swear', I repeat her words

‘To put myself first, above assholes who refuse to make their intentions clear’, I couldn’t help it, a laugh bursts from my lips and she mock glares at me.
