Chapter 5

He picked me up and brought me on the sofa but his face spoke very seriously.

"If your father really didn't owe me, I would have fired you!"he said angrily, much to my surprise. 

"Beth!"he called to Beth.

"Yes Sir?" Beth replied confused. 

"Please teach this woman a good job.She didn't do anything but give me a headache!"he said emphatically to Beth, obviously holding back his anger. 

"Yes sir,let me handle this" Beth replied smiling. 

"And next time don't block my path!"he preached to me.

I wanted to cry in front of him at those times because of the hurtful words I heard from him. I admit I was really hurt because I thought he helped me because he was concerned about me.He really doesn't care about me.

I followed his gaze as he went up the stairs while Beth looked at me and shook her head.She immediately stood beside me to preach to me as well.

"It's a good thing I immediately found his clothes on the floor because otherwise?You will lose your job Bailey "she said emphatically. 

"Why am I so stupid? Why can't I do my job well Beth?" I said sadly and I saw Beth sigh.

"I also noticed that you don't seem to be used to doing housework and when you see Sir Elijah you are easily distracted so you make mistakes in your work. You should just focus on your work especially since you still have debts to pay" Beth said calmly.

I just sighed at what she said. She offered to  take over my job and wash Sir Elijah's clothes because she didn't want to scold us again.

In the evening, I went to my room to rest.

I thought of calling my mother before I went to sleep to say check them out. I miss them so much and there is no day that I don't think about them. They have been my strength to cope with all the work here in the mansion even though I'm already tired.

"Hello mom, how are you?" I asked with a smile. 

"We're okay here Ley, how are you there?" she asked me back.

"It's okay. In fact, I enjoy my work here mom" I lied.

"It's good then. Do you know your father always asks me about you?"she said excitedly.

"I know you're worried about me and you both miss me hehe" I replied smiling.

Mom talked to me a lot more and I cried when I heard my father's voice. I know he has a hard time speaking but he still tries to talk to me.Tears flowed in my eyes at those times. I want to hug them tightly but all i can do is talk to them on the phone. 

Actually this is the first time I am away from them but I have to be brave. 

The next day I woke up early to clean the mansion and water the plants in the Garden. When I came out of the room I saw Beth busy cooking and I immediately greeted her before I went to the Garden. 

"Good morning Beth" I greeted her with a smile.

"Good morning too Bailey," Beth replied, smiling. 

I first helped her prepare the food before I went to the harden.And  i thought of staying there to avoid seeing Sir Elijah. 

A few moments later, a sexy and beautiful woman entered the gate and Sir Elijah met her. I was behind the plants while simply peeking at the two of them. But I immediately bowed when I saw Sir Elijah look in my direction. I accidentally broke a large vase next to me so I sat down and covered my mouth.My heart throbbed because of the nervousness I felt.But when i opened my eyes I saw the furious face of Sir Elijah staring at me.

"Bailey !! he shouted. 

"Sir, I'm sorry I didn't mean to," I told him, crying. 

"Do you know how much is that ?!" he scolded me. 

"How much Sir? I will just pay .. "I replied. 

"Stupid idiot! You are so careless! You are always so stupid! "he scolded me.

"Do you think you can pay that ?! I'll just remind you that you still have a debt to pay woman!" he added angrily.

It took a few minutes for him to calm down and leave. I just cried while picking up the broken vase. I accidentally broke it and I am so disappointed in myself. 

I can't help but cry when I remember the hurtful words he said.But i remain strong because I didn't want to disappoint my parents. I didn't want to go home until I could pay my dad's debt to him. 

When I entered the mansion, I went to the kitchen to talk to Beth because I was so depressed.She was shocked to see me cry.

"Bailey, what happened to you? Why are you crying? "she asked worriedly. 

"Sir Elijah scolded me again.Why did I always make mistakes?" I said sadly. 

"What happened?"she asked curiously. 

"I broke the expensive base in the Garden" I admit.

'What ?! My God Bailey! " "Do you know how much that vase costs?" Beth asked worriedly.

"I don't know Beth so maybe Sir Elijah was too angry because I said I'll just pay for what I broke," I said sadly. 

"My God Bailey! You really don't know how to think! "Beth preached to me.

"I'm sorry It was just an accident.I saw him and his woman outside so I immediately hid so they couldn't see me but I accidentally collided with the vase" I explained.

"That's what you get for fantasizing about Sir Elijah!" she preached.

"I don't fantasize about him and I don't like him anymore" I lied.

I saw Beth shake her head while wiping the dishes and I was just out of breath.

I couldn't think clearly at times thinking about what happened earlier. I want to talk to Sir Elijah again and apologize for what happened.I admit I was really hurt at what he said but I can't blame him because it's really my fault. 

It's been a few months since I worked here in the mansion but Sir Elijah's treatment of me still hasn't changed. I still do my best to do my job well to avoid mistakes but I failed.

One night while Sir Elijah was eating,he called me and immediately approached him.My heart was beating so fast as i looked at his serious handsome face.I couldn't help but feel nervous while waiting for what he would say.And  I was surprised when he began to speak in front me.
