"Don't misunderstand him, bess."Cheska said.

I just sighed and tried to calm myself down. I hope he didn't hear what we talked about because I'm sure he'll be angry.

"Is your husband really that strict? My beautiful face was not even greeted," Cheska said.

"Just leave it, Bess. That's how Ransom is and I don't want to argue with him anymore. I know where I belong," I answered.

"You should know that you are his wife. That's your place with him!" Cheska told me firmly.

"I probably won't force myself on him anymore.

I will just let him go and give him time to realize that this is the right thing," I answered.

I saw Cheska sigh in front of me. I saw her shake at what I said and I know she felt my heart was heavy. But I still have to pretend that I'm okay. I don't want to be weak because I have to be strong for my daughter.

"It's better to turn your attention to something else. Talk to the maids here while you take care of the baby," she advised.

"We will go to the mall when I'm free so th
