Sebastian let out an indifferent scoff. "So what if I die a slow and painful death? What's it to the both of you?"

"Sebastian! Why are you torturing yourself like this?" Whitney huffed.

Sebastian's expression turned frostier, and he looked at Whitney solemnly.

"You think I'm torturing myself?" he asked.

"Are you not?" Whitney challenged. "You don't have the right or the ability to defend yourself if Mr. Beckard ever comes for revenge! What you're doing is suicide!" she continued angrily.

Sebastian shot her a resigned smile as he replied, "I'm a useless piece of trash to you anyway. So why are you saying all of this to me now?"

Whitney's expression soured, and she raised an eyebrow in displeasure.

"What are you trying to say?" she asked.

"I'm not trying to say anything," Sebastian replied mildly.

Whitney's eye twitched in anger, and she yelled, "Fine! It's my fault for caring so much! In the future, I won't care if you live or die!"

With that, she spun on her heel and stomped
