40-Family Time

Emmett’s POV-

“Birthday Party Thursday night, family time Friday, Alpha/Luna ceremony Saturday and then we come home,” I repeat again.

“Babe, why are you so nervous?” Luca asks me.

We are waiting at the portal for Sara, Thomas, their three kids, Gina, Zek and their son.

“It’s a tick of my mine, I just need to run through the schedule. It calms me. Why aren’t we driving again?” I ask. “I mean, it’s two hours, what’s the big deal?”

“Baby, we went through this. Six adults, six kids, the only way was in a van and even you agree driving up the mountain would be exhausting. Thomas and Zek couldn’t get away until late, so instead of driving up after midnight, we are taking the plane to the Blue Mountain air strip. And since Pat was flying this direction already, we are hoping on with him,” Luca explains again.

“Right, right, right, okay, I just need to calm down.” I say.

I’m nervous because this will be my first time around Kate since the kids have been born. She and I haven’t spoken, I’m not
