An Unknown LocationA compound filled with vampires, a man suddenly walks in and grabs one of them. Then he inserted his hand into his chest region and pulled out the man's heart. This got the attention of the other vampires who stopped and looked back at her, each taking a protective stance. One of them quietly left the scene, heading inside. The first impulse which is to fight their enemy overcame them and they all lunged forward to attack him. Much to their surprise, a large number of them got slaughtered. He was about to finish the rest of them when a firm voice stopped him. "Stop!" The numerous bodies beside him and the blood on his face gave him the appearance of a reaper. "I was beginning to think you'd stand aside and watch me kill all those sired to you." He laughed as he threw aside the heart in his hand. The woman stepped forward and raised a brow apprehensively. "I never expected to see you after what happened that year." "I wouldn't be here if something wasn't afte
~Ashley~Celene caught Cassie before she could fall and slung her over her shoulders after that. "What was that for?" I asked, feeling the building anger in me. "I've been looking for a way to speak with you." Cassie replied instead, walking closer to me. "Do you remember your mother's sister who was responsible for her death?" "Drexa?" I asked uncertainly. "Yes." She nodded in agreement. "After she killed your mother, she gathered most of her sire lines together. Not because she cared about them but because she needed their protection." "Even if they loathe her they won't do anything to her. But what's the big deal, she's old and powerful. She can protect herself, why gather them to protect her?" I asked with a scoff. "Drexa had a habit. She'd haunt the most powerful witches. Young or old and would drain them of their blood, in turn absorbing their energies and cultivation. Then she'd have a witch cast a spell which is to wake her in ten or twenty years time. That sleep makes i
Ashley caught up with Celene but the latter didn't give her the chance to do anything as she maintained a distance from Willow. "Instead of acting stubborn by fighting me, go meet Ashley and get a cure for my bite. Otherwise, you'd be dead in the next ten minutes." Celene snorted and left again. As much as Willow would've loved to follow her, the pain inside her body had tripled, making it impossible for her to breathe. She left for Ashley's house but figured out she wasn't around. With fear in her eyes and her heart thumping crazily, she prayed that Ashley would arrive. The compound wasn't crowded like other days so it was very easy for her to nap Ashley the moment she appeared. Ashley reacted quickly and gave two jabs. One to the abdomen and the other to the heart. Willow caught the one directed at her heart but failed to catch the one which landed on her abdomen. She sputtered out blood almost immediately and glared hard at Ashley who had realized her mistake. "I'm sorry. So
~Marcellus~As soon as the stealer left, I walked back to Eden but stood a little farther from her table. She had her eyes closed as she mumbled a spell. When she opened them, she did nothing to hide the panic in her eyes. "Go to the streets of the pack with the pack warriors and stop an impending deaths!" She said hurriedly. She gave no more information so I hurried to assemble the pack warriors before setting off for the pack's streets. When we got to the pack, I noticed its rare quietness. When I heard low sobbing, I hastened my pace and soon, I got to the back of a particular house. The sight that met me left me shocked. I soon got over my shock and rushed over to the various ripped body parts. My eyes met with a place which had a large amount of blood but no sign of any body. Squatting, I scooped some of it with my fingers and smelt it. Like I thought, it belonged to a wolf but where was the body?Cage interrupted me and made me more depressed when he reported the amount o
The news soon reached Rebecca and she hurriedly set off to meet Ashley. When she got to the lake, she found Ashley bent over the dead Cassie, eyes shut having a shallow sleep. When she got closer, Ashley's eyes flew open, filled with blood thirst, she narrowed her eyes down at Rebecca. When she recognized Rebecca, the fire in her eyes disappeared but she remained seated. Apprehensively, Rebecca inched closer to her and sat down on the wooden chair nearby. "Tell me there is a way to bring her back, Rebecca and I will do whatever you ask me to." Ashley said, her eyes devoid of any emotion. When she heard no reply from Rebecca, she looked up tearfully at her and asked, "It's true isn't it? She's gone and it's all because I let Jarvis live when I should've sucked out her miserable life!" "There is actually a way, Ashley but you're not gonna like it." Rebecca suddenly said. Like she thought, the latter sat up almost immediately, finally having something to grab onto. "What or who
~New Jersey~In a dark room, a grunt can be heard coming from it. Then a silhouette on heels walked in. The light is switched on and it disrupts the training of the furious Ashley. "Why are you suddenly energized enough to box?" Rebecca asked with a smile as she leaned over on a wall. Ashley turned to look at her then turned to grab a towel. "I happened to pass by some of your followers last night. They talked about me unknown to them that I was in their midst. They said I was just a weak girl who had grown in a werewolf pack all my life. Thinking of it now, I don't think I should be riled up in anger." Rebecca chuckled and walked towards her. Ashley thought the latter was about to.offer down words of comfort when Rebecca walked past her and patted the punching bag of 70lbs. "How long have you been punching this?" Rebecca asked seconds later. "Since last night." Ashley drawled, unsure of what she had in mind. Rebecca raised a brow, fixed her eyes on the punching bag and deliver
~Rebecca~I raised my head when I heard multiple footsteps. My eyes dilated when I saw the group. They threw a battered man to the ground who I recognized to work as a security for me. I held the bridge of my nose as I asked, "What is going on here?"Like I expected, Carter Currain stepped forward. "I heard you have her with you." Then he looked behind him to know if he spoke the minds of the people with him, when he confirmed he did, he looked back at me with a smile. "We thought about it and decided it's not a good thing to have you take care of her. We wish for her to be in our custody." "Ashley is not a commodity I can pass on to anyone at will. Regardless of what you think, she stays with me." I said, glancing at each of them warningly. Carter walked closer to me and scoffed. "Do you take me for a fool, Rebecca? We both know what you want." I stared at him and snorted. "I have no idea what is running through your head but be rest assured I will do nothing to harm her. After
~Ashley~ I heard everything the man said and I was perplexed. Rebecca soon got off the call and looked down at me. "You heard it, I have something to deal with at this moment. I'll take you to tour around this beautiful yet mysterious country some other time, alright?" She said apologetically, patting my shoulder. I shrugged her hand away and revealed a disgusted yet expression. "Don't touch me. By the way, I need to have a talk with...your witches when I return. Hope I won't be attacked?" "Everyone I have is yours, attacking you is tantamount to attacking me. Be rest assured, they'd do whatever you want unless it's something dangerous." Rebecca smiled. She led me back to the house before leaving again. I paid Cassie a visit in the attic where the witches were staying. "How is she?" I asked when I saw one of them cleaning her body. She looked up at me and I saw a faint streak of displeasure flash past her eyes and frowned. I barely even know this person. "She's dead. And I am
