I rushed down to the compound as soon as I saw him move.

Unfortunately, I was too late to stop him from slitting his neck. I grabbed my dieing subordinate and tried effortlessly to give him my blood to heal but nothing was working.

"He will be dead in the next five minutes. So I suggest you stop wasting our time and hear me out. If our talk goes well, I will give you the antidote you seek."

I heard the man say leisurely.

"He doesn't seem like a good person, Rebecca. Don't give in to him." The man in my arm who I recognized to be one of the first people I sired, Jason Morgan, said grabbing my shirt.

He tried so much to smile despite the fact he was dying.

"I will also advise him to save his strength and energy and shouldn't try to resist the position. It'll only spread faster and it'll get to his heart in no time. We both know what that means."

I finally let go of Jason and got up. I walked back to where Gillies stood and stood next to him.

"What do you want?" I asked
