Gray's Demand

Everyone turned to look at Damien who stood without turning to look at the child. Fearing the man didn't hear, the young child ran to him and grabbed him by his trouser leg.

"Alpha Shane, I'm so happy you're alive." The child said again and broke down into tears.

Others were beginning to think the child had made a mistake and was about to move him from Damien when the man looked down at the child.

He extended his hands afterward and took him into his arms. Seeing the dirty condition of the child, his eyes reddened and once again, he was reminded of the coward who did nothing but run while his pack was getting attacked.

But weren't the pack members supposed to follow their new Alpha?

"I knew you looked familiar. Shane Hobb, the son of the late Alpha Shaw." Gray mumbled walking back to where he stood.

Claire was the most confused of all. So the man who had saved Marcellus was the son of the very man who led the attack to destroy their pack.

"Everyone thought you were dead, Shane?"
