I sent a guard to wake up a couple of servants in the middle of the night to make me an omelet. While I could do it myself, I refused to step out of my bed.
The mansion had several cooks at their disposal, why would they need me to wait before they would make the omelet I requested when they knew who had made the request?
It didn’t make any sense to me. Besides, I wasn’t in a good mood due to my condition and I informed the guard who brought the news that I was going to handle the situation myself.
The message the cook was passing to me was that if I needed an omelet, I could make one for myself if I didn’t want to wait.
