Cain was leaning against the car with his arms folded across his chest, impatiently waiting for me, and he appeared to be irritated. I smiled and laughed internally.

He glared at me while raising a brow. “Are you finished? I would like to get going sometime soon instead of next year.” He growled.

I rolled my eyes and began walking towards him; I had the sudden urge just to run as fast and as far as I possibly could. However, that stupid annoying ass voice in my head kept telling me that if I did, it would be the most foolish mistake of my life.

As I approached the car, to my surprise, Cain opened the car door for me, raising his arm and motioning for me to enter the vehicle. As I stepped into the car, Cain took my bag and closed the door after taking my seat.
