Alpha’s House

After I shifted and ran to the pack house, I shifted back and grab a pair of shorts that were hidden. We normally had clothes hidden all the wood due to us shifting and running through the wood. I don't know about some of the wolfs but I'm not too keen on my whole pack seeing me in all my naked glorious. Let alone the unmated females that is reserved for mate my parents always told me that my mate is the most precious thing, and I should cherish and protect her with my life when I find her. Well, I found her and didn't get the reaction from her that I wanted I need to know more about her and since her father is the lead warrior for my parents, I figured they would know.

I take off toward the house and up to their office that I didn't even bother knocking I just ran in and was not expecting the reaction I got from them. When I entered the office, I was not expecting an audience. Apparently, they were having a meeting in the office and I was not expecting to be standing in front of my mom and dad the Alpha and Luna the Beta the lead warrior Dan Mitchell and some of the other warriors and trackers.

"Mom Dad is everything okay" I look at everyone confusingly.

"Well come on in son take a seat" my father says.

I hesitantly walk over and take a seat on the cream color lounge couch off in the corner. I watch curiously as they all start up the conversation again.

"We need to protect her" Dan Mitchell said with a concerned look on his face.

"You know we will Dan" my father says

"When is her birthday when she finds her mate and shifts for the first time" my mother says.

"Its next week but the rogues are attacking more and becoming more persistent we cannot keep her safe at the house and who knows what will happen if they get her" Dan says scared.

I sit and listen in shock who are they talking about I wonder all I know is whoever it is her life is in danger and needs constant protection.

"Have her move in here Dan you know our guards will watch over her 24/7" my father says.

"I understand that Alpha but it's getting her to leave the house she refuses the emotions of other are overwhelming for her she barely leaves her room on a good day and schooling is getting more difficult for her. She took off today from campus and lost control of her powers and ran home and locked herself in her room" Dans says.

"We will have someone come here to school her and do her studies with her" my mother says.

"I will head home and discuss this with my wife we must do whatever it takes to keep her safe and learns to control her powers" Dan says as he bows his head toward my mother and father.

It was just then that I realized who they were talking about "mate" my wolf Lynel says as I watch everyone leave the meeting, I wait for them to address me before speaking knowing I may be in deep shit for barging in.

"Well son" my father addresses me.

Who were you just discussing and what power are you talking about I say to my father my mother gives him a concerned look and then sighs. "We were going to wait to discuss pack business with you but since you are 18 and will be taking over the pack soon enough, I think it about time we tell you" My father says.

"There is a young lady at your school that is gifted with moon goddess powers we aren't sure what powers she has but do know she is an empathic witch/clairvoyant her parents had figured out that one of her powers is to control the weather" my mother says.

I look at them both dumbfounded and ask what her name is?

"Lalani Mitchell that was her father the lead warrior of the pack he came to us for help because the recent rogue attacks have been happening more frequently and he just learned from one of them that we are holding in the cells that they are coming for his daughter" my father says.

It was then that my heart sank into my stomach at the realization that mate is in danger, and I have do whatever it takes to protect her. I look up at my mom and dad with the look of horror on my face.

"What are you going to do to protect her" I ask cautiously looking up at both of them.

"We already have a plan in motion first step is getting her here so our guards and will be able to protect her better" my father says.

"We can't try we must get her here now" I snapped at both of them impatiently.

They looked at each other curiously before turning to me. "What is the meaning of this son for you to talk to us like that" mom says.

"Well, umm you see umm she is my mate I caught a whiff of her scent today before she ran out of the school, but she didn't react the way I would expect for us being mates"

They both stared at me for a minute then looked and each other then my mother came running towards me wrapping her arms around me with tears in her eyes "I'm so happy you found her so soon after getting your wolf" my mother says. While my dad came up and slapped the back of my shoulder. "Congrats boy" he says. My mother steps away and looks at my dad. We definitely need to get her here as soon as possible my mother says to my dad and my father nods his head in agreement. I will give Dan Mitchell a call now.

"Wait" I say why don't we head over and talk to them and explain that I am her mate also why didn't she react to the mate bond.

"We can head over but we cannot tell her that you guys are mates we can talk to her parents, but we have to wait till she turns 18 and shifts for her to realize that you two are mates".

My heart sank when my father explained that I can't tell her we are mates, but I am determined to have her fall in love with me before he mates bond kicks in but as of right, we need to head over and get her to come here so I know she will be better protected.

"Son" my father says puling me out of my thoughts "yes father" I respond back. “Go tell the maids to have a guest room made up for your mate we will be heading out shortly to head over to the Mitchell’s to pick her up and have her head back with us make sure it is on the Alpha floor”.

"Why a guest room I huffed can't she just stay in my room with me so I can make sure she is well protected next to me" I grumble, and my wolf lets out a deafening growl with the idea of her in a different room.

"Son, you know you can't do that till she gets her wolf, and the mate bond fully kicks in, but we can make she has a room either right next to you or right across the hall if that will put your wolf at bay" he says with a chuckle.

"But"

"No buts now go and have everything prepared for her arrival I will call Dan and let him know we will be there shortly". my father says.

"Fine" I say and walk out of his office angrily and start heading down to the kitchen to find the maid Miriam. I finally make it to the kitchen to see Miriam discussing dinner with the chefs when I walk up to her.

Miriam, I say startling her "oh hello Alpha Angelino can I help you with something" she says in her southern accent, "Yes I need you to get a guest room ready on the alpha floor either right next to mine or right across from mine" I say to her. "Right away Alpha Angelino" she responds back and walks towards the Alpha corridors.

Just then a mindlink came through "Angelino we leave in 10 minutes be out front and ready to go". My father says over mindlink. "Yes sir" and cut the connection and head to the door. You hear that Lynel we are going to get our mate. All I got back in responds is him purring and I couldn't help but chuckle.
