Battle of the Powerful

Lydia Richmond's POV

First step, second step…

And finally, I ran off. I was quite a fast sprinter and I made sure I was running at a speed of light. The maid who had stopped me before and the guards she had with her didn't let me go without a challenge. They ran after me furiously as I struggled to keep the gap between both of us.

I was sure that they had a huge gap to cover. From my speed, the gap only got wider. I could see the secret passageway in glance and this had to be my key to escaping the mansion and going back to my kids whom had been neglected for quite a long time.

Finally, I got to the secret passageway. I tried to open the door but unfortunately for me, it had been sealed with strong chains whom no one could break off.

I was shocked and terrified at the same time. It was only occuring to me now that I had no plan B. My one and only plan had failed and I had nothing to do.

I turned back and saw the maid and the guards rushing towards me. Now, the guards had taken the
