A Gift for Stone Sumach

Lydia Richmond's POV

Sebastian and his crew left the place as quickly as possible. I walked back to Alpha Quinn and hugged him. It wasn't easy but I managed to pull this off.

“You did really well!” Alpha Quinn said slowly. “You have proved a point and I know that Sebastian would let his Alpha know that we aren't behind this. It's a heart attack!”

I hugged Alpha Quinn closer but then, I was quite afraid about this. I thought Alpha Quinn should talk about the poisoning of the food. He never made mention of this and it made me quite surprised. I didn't want to raise the topic first.

“I know…” I replied carefully. “The fight is not over but then, we have done very well. I hope it works? Considering Stone's temperament, I have to confess that I am scared. He isn't the normal man who would forgive people like that!”

“Just hope!” Alpha Quinn told me. “It's all going to be fine. Forget the person we are dealing with and be optimistic. Remember that being a pessimist would only hurt you!”
