“Listen up everybody!” I called the attention of all the warriors who were getting ready to shift into their wolves and they all turned to look at me.

“We don’t know what we will find once we enter the Winter mist pack. Some of us may even end up losing our lives there. I just want to take this opportunity to thank all of you in advance for volunteering to help. It’s not an easy task to leave your mates and go on a mission that’s not clearly known. And for that, I say thank you for being brave.” I said out loud, walking back and forth in front of them.

I took a moment to look at the several men and women who might end up losing their lives and I felt guilt rise within me. I wish there was a way to stop them from getting hurt in case a fight broke out.

“We are happy to help you and your mate, Beta.” One of them said as the rest began to murmur the same. I lowered my gaze, staring at my feet. No amount of words could express how grateful I was.
