We sat down in my office; annoyance was written all over my face. I hate when Alpha’s come by unannounced. I wanted to go back to my mate. The whole conversation I had the feeling he was stalling.

“Why do you think he is really here?” I asked Carson through the mind link.

“No idea, there are no wars brewing. As far as I know. He’s stalling,” Carson replied.

I was glad he noticed it as well. I thought maybe it was my mind playing tricks on me. Alpha Smith kept talking about small pack matters, those that are not any of my concerns.

I lifted my hand up, signaling to stop talking. “Why are you here?” I said with a small growl vibrating through my chest. My patience has its limits

Alpha Smith cleared his throat, trying to hide something. His discomfort or was it something else. He looked to Carson and then back to. Me before continuing, “it has come to my attention that you have someone here…” his eyes roamed the room once more before his nose tried to pick up a scent.

I kept a close look on Alpha Smith when he took Liza into the gardens. I sent one of my guards to follow them. Making sure he wouldn’t harm Liza. Well, that is what I told Jamie. I hoped he could eavesdrop on their conversation. I still had a weird feeling about this. “They do look cute together, don’t you think,” Jamie said while snuggling against me. I took a deep breath, inhaling her scent. Letting it calm me. “I don’t trust him.” She looked up at me, and a small glimpse of confusion lingered in her eyes. But she didn’t say a word. Carson came toward us, putting an arm around her waist. I tried my best to control myself, I should give it a chance. But the only thing I wanted to do was push him away. Carson noticed and released Jamie’s waist. Making a whine leave her lips. I sighed, before nodding to Carson. His arm was around her waist before I could even blink twice. I told Jamie that Carson and I needed to handle some pack business. I assigned her a bodyguard, just to be sa

Ares POVI have sent some scouts to Alpha Smith's pack, to keep an eye on things. He never seemed to be the kind of man who drops everything to meet his mate here. Why didn't he take her to his pack when he met her? I was working in my office, with Carson beside me. He kept moving restlessly in his chair. He was slowly getting on my nerves. "Can you please stop moving," I said with a growl. He froze on the spot before he sighed, "when can I mark my mate?" We both stared at each other for a moment. Before I could answer there was a soft knock on the door, saving me from this conversation. "Come in." Jamie entered with a beaming smile on her face, one that made my love for her grow. I didn't notice at first. But when I saw the bruise on her jaw, a vicious growl left my lips. I was beside her in a second, holding her face to the side. "Who did this?" I tried my best to hide my anger. But my body started trembling from the rage moving through me. "Ow it's nothing, I wanted to t

Jamie POVI looked at him, letting him see and feel all the love I have for him. "I love you. You are my mate. My everything. But no, I won't reject Carson. He is also a part of me. Maybe if you mark him, you will feel better. He has no intention of taking me away from you. He has been very patient. And so have I. Will you think about it? We both love you and we are waiting for you" I said to Ares. He has to know how much he means to me, but he can't push me away from Carson. He has to accept the bond I share with him. I will never be complete, without Carson by my side. I need them both. "I need some time, but I know how much it means to you," he said before giving me a soft kiss. I have to be strong and not let myself be carried away again. His touch makes me go crazy, wanting more of him every time. But I need to wait and be patient. If I continue to act like there is nothing wrong, he won't change. "Before I forget, Liza wants Alpha Smith to stay a little longer. She isn't

I was sitting on the couch in Ares's office. I could feel my arousal rising at the sight of my beautiful mates. Both are perfect in their own way. I unbuttoned my jeans before sliding my hand inside and moving my finger in circular motions over my sensitive bud. I saw a smirk form on Carson's face before his eyes met mine. "Naughty little kitten," he said through the mind link. A moan left my lips at the sound of his voice in my mind. I could hear a small growl coming from Ares. Not one of anger but one of need. I met his eyes, filled with lust. I bit my bottom lip in response. "Do you want any help with that?" Ares asked playfully. "No, I'm.." Before I could finish my sentence a squeal left my lips when Carson pulled my jeans down and ripped my panties off. I could hear him say, "MINE." His voice made my arousal rise even more. He placed himself between my legs, pulling me closer to him. He pushed his tongue inside me before making a straight line toward my sensitive bud a

Carson POV I lifted Jamie in my arms and started our way upstairs. For the first time, Ares didn't complain when I took her with me. Maybe he's changing. I placed her gently in her bed before grabbing a wet towel from the bathroom to clean her up. She was fast asleep. She must be exhausted. I tossed the towel in the hamper and curled up beside Jamie. Letting her scent fill me. My fingers roamed her bare arm. There was something different. The tingles felt less intense than usual. They were still there, but different. The only thing I felt through the bond was her love for me and Ares. I couldn't sense anything wrong other than the change of tingles. I closed my eyes, letting her scent take me away to a peaceful sleep. My dreams were filled with a beautiful future, with Jamie beside me. Two little pups running around, one looked like the spitting image of Ares and the other looked like a mini version of me. My heart swells at the sight of Jamie with a beautiful baby bum and

  • The Alpha's redemption   Chapter 24

"BRING ME HIS HEAD!" My voice echoed through the packhouse, rage pumped through my veins. Where is he? Where is Alpha Smith? He never returned to his pack, it's as if he just disappeared. There were whispers that he had fled to Europe. But when we sent some of our warriors there, the whispers changed, saying he's in Mexico. I ordered every Alpha to help in the search. Some declined, fearing for their own safety if they sent out too many of their pack members. Today was the day we went to one of those packs. Today I would go back to where I found her. Gideon was ranting my mind, pleading with me not to kill the entire pack. I hated how they made her feel weak. I wanted them to be punished. But I knew she wouldn't want me to, I have to be better. I have to be better for her. Carson stayed behind, not wanting to part from Jamie's side. I don't blame him, he can keep her safe. But I don't think Alpha Smith meant to kill her. I still don't understand his motives. I still can't figure

  • The Alpha's redemption   Chapter 25

Carson POV It didn't take a lot to convince Ares to let me stay with Jamie. I was grateful he let me be here, I don't know how he does it. The only thing that's on my mind is Jamie. I can't even think straight. Every day I hoped there would be a change, hoping she would wake up. I know Ares went back to Jamie's old pack, I hope he kills their Alpha and Luna. I don't think Gideon wouldn't allow it, but fingers crossed. I heard the rumors, how they traffic she-wolves. But I could never find any evidence. If I had only searched harder, I could have gotten her out of there sooner. We even had a coven of witches working 24/7, trying to find a solution for the spell Jamie is under. But every day was a disappointment. I hold Jamie's hand gently, before kissing it softly. "I'm sorry for not being able to protect you," I mumbled under my breath. Her hand softly twitched, maybe it was my imagination. But I can't have imagined it, right? I mind linked to one of the staff to bring Tara up.

  • The Alpha's redemption   Chapter 26

Ares POV My fingers tapped on the armrest of my chair, waiting patiently. But eager to rip William's head off. A small smirk formed on his face before his office door was thrown open and five warriors started to circle around me. I remained seated, my eyes never leaving Williams. "As you may notice, I'm not complying to help you find that weakling," he said with the same smug smile on his face. "You can either go peacefully, or we will make you, your choice." Gideon was laughing like a maniac in my mind. I know I haven’t been in a large battle recently, but sure he heard the rumors. "Give me a couple of seconds, I'm almost done stretching," Gideon's voice filled my mind. His comment made a laugh escape my lips. First I tried to hide it, but quickly I couldn’t stop the laughter from leaving my lips. Who does this Alpha think he is, taking on the god of war. I shook my head, trying to stop my laughter. I heard some warriors shifting on their feet. Uncomfortable, not knowing w

Jamie POV Years had passed in the blink of an eye, and I was happier than ever. All the struggles we went through, were worth it in the end. I was immensely grateful, that Ares choose this life with us, instead of power. That he choose this mortal life, instead of moving back to the god's lands. “Not so fast, you two,” I yelled after Kaitlin and Nathanial, who seemed to be ignoring me while they increased their pace. I softly caressed my bump, enjoying the sight of my rascals. How could you love someone so much that it almost hurts, was more than I could ever wish for. “Happy birthday, love,” Ares whispered, wrapping his arms around me and resting his head on my shoulder, inhaling deeply. “Have I told you how much I love you?” He asked while his lips brushed over his mark, making a pleasurable shiver move through my body, awakening my core. “Hmm, maybe you should remind me,” I murmured. “Knock it off, you two,” Ripley’s voice snapped us out of our moment, and I couldn’t h

With hollowed cheeks, I let Carson gently trust inside my mouth. His pace was slow and deep, making my sexual frustration rise. I glanced up, and I almost came when I saw Caron’s parted lips and flushed cheeks. Fuck, he looks so delicious. I tried to pick up my pace, but the hold he had on me, made it impossible. There was no way I could hold back the orgasm that was crawling at the surface. I whimpered and moaned around Carson’s cock when Ares picked up his pace, attaching my sensitive clit until my body shattered, and my juices spilled out. I was a mess, riding the aftershocks of my orgasm, when Carson’s pulled himself out of me and gently brushed his thumb over my lips. “Perfect,” he said. I took a couple of deep breaths, trying to calm my body, but the moment of peace was quickly stopped when Ares claimed my lips, making sure I would taste myself on his tongue. Our position changed, without parting our lips. He lifted me in his arms, and I instantly wrapped my legs around his

Ares POV The moment Carson stepped inside, his eyes slowly wandered over my naked body. “Is this your plan? How is this going…” he stopped midsentence when he realized what the plan was. “How didn’t I come up with that sooner,” he mumbled more to himself than me. “Do you need help getting undressed?” I asked, pulling him back to the present. A small blush formed on his cheeks while he tauntingly slow started to remove his clothes. “We have to make sure she feels it right?” he asked with a hint of mischief in his eyes. Of course, this wasn’t going to be quick. I knew they were at it for hours to make sure I felt it when I wanted to kill Aegon. I groaned when he stood before me, naked. Who would have thought I would fall in love with another man? I closed the distance between us and brushed my fingers over his throat, while this need to choke him while fucking him senseless came into mind. My cock twitched because of the thought. I licked my lips before I pressed them on his

  • The Alpha's redemption   Chapter 89

Ares POV “How much longer?” I roared for the millionth time. It has been two agonizing weeks. Jamie still hadn’t woken up, and the longer she stayed like this, the more I worried she would never wake up. “Alpha, I don’t know. The poison has left her system, and her wolf is fine. I don’t know why she won’t wake up,” her voice trembled with every word she spoke. “Isn’t there anything I can do?” I was desperate. This feeling was almost worse than the feeling I had when her soul was trapped in that world Hephaestus created. “You can try to reach her through the bond by pushing heightened emotions through it. Terrible fear, rage. As long as the emotion is strong enough, it could wake her up,” Matina said with care. I slowly nodded, and she left without another word. We hadn’t closed off our bond to Jamie, so she must feel our despair and fear. And seeing she wasn’t waking up, it wasn’t enough. “I know,” Gideon said, sounding smug. “Care to share?” There was a moment of silence whi

  • The Alpha's redemption   Chapter 88

Carson POV I could feel myself becoming stronger with every passing second, but the pain remained. I knew it wasn’t my own that I felt. It was Jamie’s. My heart ached for her. All I wanted was to hold her in my arms. However, she only had eyes for our pups, and I can’t blame her. They looked so peaceful in her arms. As if nothing had happened. I softly brushed my finger over Nathaniel's cheek, letting the warmth of his skin seep into mine. “Do you want to hold him,” Jamie whispered. She didn’t have to say that twice. I picked up Nathaniel and let him rest against my chest. I hated that I was covered in blood, my own and Aegon’s. “Are you tired?” I asked Jamie when I noticed her eyes slowly closing. She only hummed in response before she fell asleep. I could feel her becoming weaker. The feeling alone made a tear stream down my face. Ares gently grabbed Kaitlin before he let Jamie rest against him. “We’re going to make it,” he whispered, but the fear in his eyes. The worry behi

  • The Alpha's redemption   Chapter 87

Ares POV My breath hitched in the back of my throat when I saw what Jamie was about to do. I didn’t want her to drown in the darkness. She shouldn’t be the one that takes their lives. Aegon wasn’t strong enough to help Charlotte fight the command. He didn’t even respond to Jamie’s truthful words. He knew they made a mistake going down this path. A mistake that would cost both of their lives. “Jamie, let me do it,” I whispered when I stood beside her with our pups in my arms. “No, I made a promise, and I’m keeping myself to that,” she hissed while her eyes remained locked on Charlotte and Aegon. I didn’t know what she commanded next, but the change in the air told me enough. My eyes snapped to Charlotte, and before either of us knew what was about to happen, her claws formed on her free hand, and she pushed her claws through Aegon’s chest. Aegon cried out in agony while a stray tear moved down Charlotte’s cheek. Aegon had to release his grip on the hand she still had on her throa

  • The Alpha's redemption   Chapter 86

Jamie POV Rage. All-consuming rage. My blood was boiling while my skin tightened. How dare she? It all happened in the blink of an eye; I was thrown against Carson while I felt something puncture my side. I coughed rapidly to get the air I desperately needed. The scent of my own blood surrounded me, and I knew I was injured. But I had to push forward. I pushed myself off Carson and let the same pull as before lead me to my pups. There was no escaping me at this point, and I would have back what was mine. I sprinted out of the room and headed into the forest. Before I even realized Ripley’s wolf running beside me. Ares and Carson’s concerned voices filled my mind, but still, I wouldn’t slow down my strides. “I need you to take out the witch. Otherwise, I can’t command Charlotte,” I told Ripley. Ripley lunged for Tara when Charlotte was about to step inside a car. Ares and Carson stood next to me before another breath could leave my lips. Tara screamed at the top of her lungs w

  • The Alpha's redemption   Chapter 85

Ares POV The turmoil in my mind slowly settled when all I could feel was rage and this primal need to protect what is mine. We were hiding in the shadows outside of Charlotte's packhouse, waiting for her warriors to leave. Still, we would be outnumbered, but our odds were better with fifty of her warriors gone. “They are here,” Jamie mumbled. Only when my gaze met hers did I notice the glimmer that moved over her eyes. It wasn't the same as I saw her wolf press forward, but something else. I took her hand in mine and gave it a reassuring squeeze. One that we both needed. The soft rustling around us made me freeze on the spot until Carson’s scent wafted around me. “We can use the tunnel. It’s unguarded. It doesn’t seem she knows we were coming here,” Carson whispered. No one spoke another word when we turned around and let Carson lead us to the underground tunnel. The same we used when we ran away from Hephaestus We still had to choose which of Charlotte’s pack houses we shoul

Ares POVIt took us longer than I wanted, but the moment we stepped over the border, Jamie’s voice echoed inside my mind.“Did you find them?”I wanted to tell her that we did, but we only had a lead. “We are going to Litochoro.”Carson was in charge of gathering the warriors while I made my way to the packhouse. I was in desperate need of holding my mate in my arms and when I heard her voice inside my mind seconds ago, I knew she needed me too.I quickly shifted back and rushed inside. When my gaze met hers, a small smile formed on her lips. After I put some clothes on, I made my way to her and wrapped my arms around her small frame.“Are you okay?” I whispered while I held her close.“The poison is… I had some trouble with my sight, but now that you’re here, I’m fine,” she said with a small smile that did nothing for the pain that roamed through her eyes.I didn’t know what to say, but I’m glad that my presence helps her wolf fight the poison.“We are leaving in fifteen minutes.
