Chapter forty two

Landon entered the house and carefully scanned his surroundings. The atmosphere was busy and the air filled with the chatter of the drunken men. Landon gritted his teeth angrily. This was what he was reduced to. The Alpha of the moon shadow pack now reduced to carrying out meetings in pubs and shadowy alleys.

Alpha Landon pulled the hood of his coat tightly to his face, he could not risk anyone to identify him here. He made his way to the corner where he knew his accomplise would be waiting.

True to his word, Jasper James was seated at a table in the corner waiting patiently for his Alpha. Landon plopped down in the seat opposite Jasper and looked around carefully.
