Chapter fifty six

Jessica backed away from the impending danger quickly and Draven backed her into a corner where he regarded her with blood red eyes. Jessica's heart was beating frantically against her chest as she quietly stood there feeling the Alpha's hot breath on her face. For a while Jessica feared that Draven would harm her. She feared that in his rage, Draven would rend her limb from limb. The air was heavy with tension as Jessica anticipated what would happen next.

Draven finally turned away with a grunt. He walked straight to his desk and dropped heavily into his chair before the broken table. "Leave us!" Draven dismissed Jessica with a wave.

Without waiting to be told twice, Jessica turned and fled the room as fast as she could. She didn't stop until she was finally out of the pack house entirely. Only then did she stopped running.
