Her mind wandered away from the lecture easily. Jessica was thinking about a lot of things as she sat there in class that particular day. She thought about the possibility of a way to find her wolf immediately, Isabelle had told her this. She thought about the curse that lingered around Alpha Draven and whether it was possible for such a curse to be lifted.

Jessica also thought about her new unlocked strength and she felt comfortable thinking about this because this clearly marked that she was not without a wolf after all.

"Miss Lyon are you with us?" Her teacher, Mrs Derrick asked abruptly, bringing Jessica's train of thoughts to an immediate halt.

"Y...yes Mrs Derrick." Jessica replied hastily and after a moment's stare, Mrs Derrick went on with her teaching.

Jessica sat up and tried to pay close attention but then something caught her attention. Isabelle's two best friends were in the class but the former was absent. Isabelle was not one to miss a class or school, yet she was n

Jessica pressed the doorbell and stood back, hearing it echo its ding-dong from within. She stood in front of a semi-detached house she believed to be where Isabelle Lana lived. The house was surrounded by a well-trimmed hedge and a lawn well-trimmed as well. The house exuded wealth as Jessica observed it admiringly. Jessica heard no sound from within to indicate that her call was answered so she hit the doorbell again and waited calmly. Jessica was intending to hit the bell again when the door opened abruptly and without warning. A woman stood in the doorway dressed in a yellow top and a pair of jeans trousers. Jessica gathered immediately that this must be Isabelle's mother judging by their same color of eyes and hair. "Hello, can I help?" The woman asked. "Umm Miss Lana, hi. Is Isabelle within?" Jessica asked quickly. The woman turned immediately and called from behind. "Isabelle... There's someone here to see you."Jessica stood at the door uncomfortably waiting. She didn't w

Mr Lana nodded casually. "Of course. You need to return to your family. I imagine they'll be really worried now."Without another word, Jessica left the room, walking back home as quickly as her little legs would carry her. That's why you saw it fit to fire an experienced servant isn't it? We talked about this, did we not?" Landon asked angrily. "Wait outside Tom." Zoe said to the new personal servant. The boy turned to walk about. "Don't you dare move an inch." Landon growled at the boy and the boy stopped in his tracks. "You take this boy away from this place and you'll bring back Alfredo as fast as possible or else.....""You'll what?" Zoe snapped. "You'll cast me away the way you did to Jessica Lyon? I'm your Luna Landon, and I don't have to cower and hang on your every word. I'm not your servant."Landon was taken aback by Zoe's words. The next days went on in a blur for Jessica. Isabelle continued with her anger towards Jessica and her reluctance to even talk to Jessica. Jessica on her part decided to keep her distance too. Alpha Draven was hardly seen around and he stopped his frequent visits to the school. This was the normal way everything was, before the arrival of Jessica to the pack. Jessica, with her now heightened strength had accepted finally and whole heartedly that she was going to find her wolf eventually. She focused more in school and even more so when it came to the trainings while carefully staying away from Isabelle and her cronies. Thus did Jessica continue her life at blood moon pack. "It's been days now since the Alpha last visited. Any chance you'd know why he hasn't dropped by lately?" A boy in Jessica's class asked. Jessica was paired with him for science practicals and Andy was using this opportunity to nag at Jessica. "How I'm i supposed to know?" Jessica replied nonchalantly, focused o

Alpha Draven was sitting in the conference room at the pack house. There was no meeting scheduled that day, the Alpha only wanted to sit there that day. As he sat there, his mind raced with different thoughts. He thought about Jessica then he thought about Alpha Nathan and his proposal, he thought about his diminishing stock of Wolfsbane and then he thought about Jessica. Whatever the Alpha would do, Jessica would come creeping back into his mind. He thought of how Jessica had turned and walked away from him and he got angry all at once. He suddenly grabbed a glass cup from the table and squeezed in his powerful grip. The glass shattered immediately sending pieces down his body while his palm got wounded and started bleeding immediately."Is everything okay Alpha?" Beta Asher was sitting close to the window engrossed in some reports that Alpha Draven was supposed to go through. "Everything is great." Draven replied flatly. We both know without the Wolfsbane you could easily break free from those chains that hold you." Asher replied.Draven went quiet for a while. "I think it's time we broker a deal with Nathan after all." He said."But Alpha, Nathan......""Do you know where you could get over 500 pounds of Wolfsbane Asher?""Not at the moment. No Alpha." Asher replied."We'll take Nathan up on that offer except you want to risk me escaping from my containment and murdering half of the pack in two days times," Draven explained. "Send word out to Nathan. We'll be needing Wolfsbane." Draven said. "Lots of Wolfsbane."***Jessica was sitting at a park bench alone, watching children play happily on swings. The voice came behind Isabelle, startling her. She turned quickly to see Penny Black standing there with wild eyes and dressed in her nightgown. "Jessica! She has gone in with the Alpha!" Isabelle explained hastily. Penny's face registered shock as she immediately understood the situation. She quickly rushed over to the door where the unconscious form of Beta Asher lay. She hastily checked his pause and then brought out a balm from her robes which she brought near to Asher's nose. Asher sneezed and slowly sat up, surveying his surroundings carefully. "Quick Man! EPILOGUEA year had passed since the blood moon had finally relinquished its hold on Draven, and the Alpha's presence had shifted in a way that mirrored the sun's gradual warming after a long, harsh winter. His eyes, once perpetually shadowed with the darkness of the curse, now sparkled with a newfound warmth. The lines etched deep around his mouth, carved by years of torment and brutal battles, softened with each passing day, replaced by a gentle curve that spoke of inner peace. The council chamber was a vast, circular space carved into the heart of the ancient oak forest that ringed the Blood Moon Pack territory. The canvas of Draven”s tent billowed gently in the cool night air, the moon casting long, skeletal shadows across the camp. Inside, the air was thick with the scent of pine and the soft, rhythmic breathing of a sleeping woman. Draven lay beside Jessica, his hand resting gently on her swollen belly. A slight tremor rippled beneath his touch.“He”s kicking again." Jessica murmured, her voice laced with a sleepy smile. “Every time you”re near, he gets all excited. He knows you”re the one who will lead him to greatness.“Draven chuckled, a deep rumble that vibrated through his chest. “Perhaps he”s sensing the warrior spirit of his father." he said, his thumb tracing the contours of her stomach. “He”ll be a great leader, there”s no doubt about it.“They fell silent, the only sound the crackling of the fire outside and the gentle rustling of the leaves in the nearby forest. The chilling air of the Blood Moon Pack territory wrapped around Draven like a shroud. The scent of pine and damp earth, normally comforting, now carried the weight of his impending battle. He’d been away for so long, a prisoner of his own curse, but now the time had come. The time to reclaim what was rightfully his. He raised his hand, halting the silent march of his army, the crimson banner of the Blood Moon Pack fluttering in the wind behind him. It was a symbol of power, of might, but now it was a symbol of his own shattered past.“We” 'll camp here," he announced, his voice resonating with an undercurrent of steel. The soldiers, hardened and loyal, responded with a chorus of grunts and the rhythmic scraping of boots on the ground as they began to set up camp. Draven watched them, a flicker of pride passing through him. These were his warriors, his brothers, the ones who had followed him through fire and blood, the ones who believed in him despite the darkness that resided within

The only light filtering in was a sliver of pale moonlight that sliced through the barred window, casting long, ominous shadows across the damp stone walls. They sat huddled together on the cold, hard floor, their backs against the rough stone, each seeking solace in the other”s presence.“He”s coming,” Penny whispered, her voice barely audible over the constant dripping of water from a crack in the ceiling.Vivian looked at her, a faint flicker of hope igniting in her eyes. “You”re sure?““The guards have been whispering,” Penny replied, her voice low and urgent. “They”re scared. They”re talking about Alpha Draven, about how he”s returning to reclaim the pack.“A deep sigh escaped Vivian”s lips. “It feels like a dream,” she admitted, her voice thick with emotion. “For so long, we”ve been trapped in this darkness. A sliver of hope was all we had left, but now...“

The air hung thick and heavy within the dank confines of the dungeon cell with the only light filtering in from a narrow slit high in the stone wall. Two figures huddled in the corner, their faces illuminated by the dim glow of a flickering torch. One, clad in a simple linen tunic shifted restlessly with her gaze fixed on the iron bars that separated her from the outside world. The other, a woman of imposing stature her dark hair pulled back in a tight braid remained still, her eyes reflecting the cold and hard reality of their situation."It's been two days." the woman in linen whispered, her voice trembling slightly. "Two days since they dragged us down here.” “Two days too long,” the other woman, the one with the braid, replied, her voice gravelly. “And still no word from the outside world or about Draven and his group.” The woman in linen, Vivian, let out a soft sigh. "We shared secrets, dreams, tears. And for what? For a taste of power?
