For a few minutes, Serena forgot she had a quest awaiting her. She relaxed in Kendrick's embrace, letting him cuddle her and assure her that everything was fine. She pretended that everything was actually fine for a while, that there wasn't a war going on and she didn't have a quest to go back to. It calmed her for a few minutes, but reality overcame her. The castle was utterly magnificent. It was rooted deep into the ground by large pillars studded with jewels. There was a frozen shield surrounding the castle and it shimmered with power as they got closer to it. Serena was awed. Then he brought out a big white box from the closet and shut the door again. He walked back to the bedside and placed the box on the table beside the bed. He worked in complete silence.
