Chapter 112 – Demigod

Lisa's POV

My hand covers my mouth to stifle my scream. My back presses against the corner between the wall and the last shelf in the room. Immediately, I saw Klaus. I hid before he could see me. He wouldn't have, though, because his focus was on Tiffany. I couldn't believe what I had heard. She was a rebel. Sweet, clumsy Tiffany was a traitor to the Council and her mate. It was a lot to take in at once. Klaus had already taken her out of the room, but I was stuck in here because there was someone else inside the room and I couldn't afford to be seen.

I hear footsteps coming from one of the rows in front of me, and dread fills me. I peek around the corner, trying to catch sight of the person. I couldn't see anyone. I shifted from my hiding position and pressed my back against the other side of the shelf, so I was turned left from where I was hiding.
