MIQUEL'S P.O.V

It feels so great to be on a break for a day. All I did was eat and sleep. The pain I was feeling down there has also subsided. All I do is fight all day and rest at night. The fact that I won't be the alpha in the end made the training look like a torment for me.

“Miguel has been caught, the guards are on their way to get you” mother mind linked me and fear gripped me. I gulped a cup of water to calm my nerves down and sat on the bed.

“The alpha demands your presence now,” a guard said harshly, holding my arms tightly.

“Do you have a death? I can walk on my own” I glared at him, and he released me abruptly. He knows better than to act rashly. I strolled to the Courtroom fidgeting with my fingers. I stared at the horrible scene before me and quickly ran to stop the guards. I put Miguel in danger again. He was being held by two guards and flogged mercilessly by another guard. Blood was dripping from his back already.

“Father please, I forced him to do it because I was feeling unwell” I pleaded trying to pull the guards off but as expected, they were stronger. I stared at Jason. He has this evil smirk on. I ran to my father and bowed my head, continuously pleading with him. My head was aching with the hit, but I didn't care.

“I beg of your father, let Miguel go” I wept continuously, but my plea fell on deaf ears. I focused my gaze on the guards and closed my eyes. I opened them and they all fell.

“Miquel!” Father barked.

“Father, please punish me instead” I cried, bowing down to him again.

“How dare you use your power against my order!” The room shook at his thunderous voice. Fear gripped everyone as he stood up.

“I'm sorry, your majesty. It was I and not Miquel” Mother said on her feet. He became perplexed as she nodded.

“Your majesty, spare them please" She held on to his feet sniffing. I can understand. How can a mother bear to see his son being beaten like a thief? Father looked away. He detests seeing Luna's tears.

“Women and their crocodile tears” Jason chipped in jokingly, but no one laughed.

“Be silent! How dare you interfere in the alpha and Luna's matter?” Mother growled at him and he kept mute.

“Please Persis, those tears are too precious for a judgement I've made, so dry them please” he gave her a handkerchief. He glanced at Miguel, who was in pain. He knows better, not to heal himself. Furthermore, he stared at me and I quickly fixed my gaze on the floor. I dare not stare at those scary pairs of dangerous eyes.

“Despite the love and care I showed you, this is what I get in return?” Father whispered calmly. If only I could object, I don't want anything from him. I only want my brother. The partiality is too much. Miguel is also his blood!

“You made friends with those who should bow and worship you and switched positions because of your fake illness!” He raged. My long hair kept on gumming to my sweaty face.

“Seems you forgot you're the future alpha, and he is just an empty barrel. One day, you will have to rule this pack and over seventy laboring packs. Is this how you will befriend your enemy?” He thundered again. Why does he keep telling me Miguel is an enemy? If this is what it means to secure power within the wolf gang territory, then I would rather not be an alpha, nor will I want Miguel for it.

At the end of everything, father ordered that Miguel should be put in the dungeon for a couple of days with little water and without food, whereas I, the root of the problem, wasn't punished. He forbade us from seeing each other until further notice.

I sat in my room, wallowing in my grief. I haven't eaten anything for two days. Sharing in my brother's punishment made my heart feel lighter.

“Miquel, please!” Miguel had mind-linked me for the first time. I suspect it's Jason. I dashed to the dungeon before the guards could catch up with me.

“How could you!?" As I saw what she was about to do, I screamed at Umberto.

She held on to my neck tightly, making me choke on my breadth. Bruno kept screaming at me to allow him to take over, but I'm anxious she would die due to his bitterness for her. A guard entered the dungeon with a tray in his hand. “It's a wolf bane, you will feel so vulnerable, neither will I. We need help!” Bruno cried out at me impatiently. Trying so hard to endure the pain, I mind-linked Miquel for assistance, and thankfully it worked. I wish he was within the palace. I couldn't endure the pain anymore. Furthermore, I had to converse with Bruno to help me heal. “You son of a bitch! You dared to…” She was unable to finish the statement before landing on her butts. There at the door was Miquel, looking so furious. His eyes were red, and his long hair swiveled silver. “How dare you call our mother

I wanted to say NO, but I lost my voice. “Whatever he is demanding from you is a no” I kept on hearing the calm incentive voice. I felt a power carrying me from where I was, but Miguel appeared and pushed me away before I could join hands with them. “Miguel.” I screamed and jerked upright. “You made it brother” he smiled at me and I hugged him so tight. “I made it all thanks to your assistance” I put in much effort to control my emotions. “I'm hungry,” we said simultaneously and smiled. “Greetings father” he nodded, staring at me intently. “I'm sorry I inflicted the pain on you” the last thing I could remember was leaving the room to attend to his call. Father left us alone and that was a relief. “Now that father left us for a while, let's do something interesting” he suggested, feeling exhilarated. “Mother said father will be occup

Twenty years later MIGUEL'S P.O.V I knew father would never forget the case. Twenty years ago, after which, father thought I was the one who said she was pregnant. Umberto was indeed three months pregnant and father spared her to raise the child, gave her twenty years of grace, and now it's twenty years. Everyone was present in the courtroom, just like it was twenty years ago. The difference is that everyone is a little advanced in age. Umberto knelt reluctantly with Ceasor, their son standing beside her. My heart kept on saying they have something up their sleeves. “I have my judgment in two ways for the crime you committed twenty years ago. Considering my relationship with Jason, I can give you the grace that you either become an omega or a rogue. That's the best option I can give you” Umberto stood at a point. Ceasor stared at the Alpha who was looking impatient, then at his mother. “Mother, stop being obstinate and accept the alpha's order by becoming an omega” he whispered at

MIGUEL'S P.O.V Father is trying to be obstinate instead of apologizing to her. Mother used her power on him, and he fell on his back. Only mother can lay a finger on the Alpha. “Don't you ever dare talk about death between us again. Can we go for the training now because I'm so sure Jason won't go easy on you tomorrow? I will not go easy on you tonight either” mother said and the battle began. “I never knew mother is this good” I whispered as she used her sword like a guru. “A Luna must know how to fight because she is the Alpha's assistant” Miquel whispered back. We watched keenly and mother seemed to be winning. I kept on studying every step she took. “Long live the Luna, long live mother” Miquel hailed excitedly before I could cover his mouth. “Greetings father” we bowed. Father was laying on the floor, breathing heavily. It was my first time seeing him in shorts and a shirt. Not until now did I realize father is younger than his age, since he was always in a huge renaissance.

MIQUEL'S P.O.V. “Father, what if my mate is not among them all?” I was on my feet already. “That means you have to marry one of them, not everyone is destined to have a mate, my son”. It's so shocking, mother isn't saying anything because she knows this can't work. Maybe she didn't disapprove because father's mind is made up. It's been five years, and he has declined to appoint a new beta. He sees mother as his beta. He is making everything tough for me. It was a love letter from a lady I don't know. She was ready to get united with a nonnative and also ready to endure every pain. She was ready to wait for my love. What on earth! What kind of woman is she? MIGUEL'S P.O.V “You're stalked with a dumb girl,” I laughed. I step out of Miquel's room to grasp some fresh air, his immense room is suddenly too small for me, it's almost like I'm suffocating. That is when I begin to feel a pair of eyes on me. I turn around, but I see no one, yet I'm so sure someone is staring at me. Only Miquel and I are present in the room. I should be scared, but I don't feel any bit of fear whatsoever, instead, I feel excited. It was then that it hit me, the sweetest, yet most intoxicating smell ever. I'd never perceived anything so sweet before. I shut my eyes and inhale the scent, breathing in and holding it for a long time. I looked around, but I couldn't see anyone. I still feel uneasiness within me. I've not been this excited in a long time. She's there, I can feel it, I can smell her. So, I start to follow the scent, oh goddess, she is within the Pack house premises. I went back to Miquel's room. “You also want to marry the Alpha?” he demanded. I stared

He would think we are playing around since the lady doesn't know we are mates yet” I muttered. “You're planning to leave the Pack right, I will leave in your place, brother. It will be our little secret” he chortled. “Why the sudden happiness…wait, did you just say I should take your place as the Alpha? No way” He wants to put me in trouble again. There is no way I'm agreeing to that. “I'm happy because I will find my mate where I'm going. You might not understand now, but you will surely understand one day that you're the right person to the throne as the Alpha. My only role is to support you brother” he avowed, patting my back. “Just do this for your brother for the last time…we will both benefit from it” he gushed delightedly and I sighed. “Father might

I'm so naive in this!“This wasn't our agreement, so you should get yourself clothed, fully” I mumbled, emphasizing the word ‘fully’ looking at the floor. What if she is aware we are mates? The thought made me stare at her. She stood up, staring at me.“I know the agreement is for us to make this fake, but after that day, father read my mind. He threatened he would kill me if I ever played on his intelligence” she gulped.“So what in the world is this dressing about? He wouldn't dare hurt the Alpha's bride, would he” I snickered? If he ever tried it, he would lose his life.“I know, but have you thought about what would happen when he tells the whole Pack our marriage is counterfeit? Your father is a strict man, and he may have us beheaded” she shuddered. I'm the bigger criminal here, if father ever discovered he married off the wrong son,

Author's point of viewThe silent hall was steeped in darkness, with the only light coming from a single spotlight that shone down upon a young woman standing in the center of the room. The walls were draped in deep shades of purple and pink, with delicate twinkle lights twinkling softly in the background. The air was heavy with the scent of roses and other sweet flowers, their fragrance wafting through the air. She was dressed in an exquisite short skirt of pink silk and a silver blouse of lace, with delicate sparkles glinting in the light. Her hair was a cascade of gentle waves, with a few strands framing her face in an alluring, enticing manner. She was popularly known as Kristen Kim, the second-trending female celebrity in Canada. She had planned to give Alexander, her fiancé, a surprise proposal, and he lured to the hall through wrong information. She danced to the rhythm of the slow romantic music with a smile on her face. Detective Alexander walked in stealthily with

AUTHOR'S POV Valeria carried Shaquan delicately in her hands, but she noticed something was wrong. He was crying. She smiled at him sadly and caressed his head. He became cold suddenly. He stopped breathing. “No, Shaquan, you can't do this. No!” she wailed, pulling him tightly onto her. Valeria's tears soaked through Shaquan's furs as she held onto him tightly, unable to believe that her intelligent, vibrant son was gone. Her heart felt like it had shattered into a million pieces, and a wail of grief escaped her lips as she rocked back and forth on the floor with her beloved child cradled in her arms. Memories of his childhood flooded her mind, each one a fresh stab of pain that threatened to overwhelm her. She felt like a part of her had died alongside him, and the thought of never being able to hug him or hear his voice again was too much to bear. As the hours wore on, her sobs grew quieter but no less intense, and the other women could only offer silent support as t

  • The Alpha's Twins    Leaving The Pack

AUTHOR'S POV A MONTH LATER “You mean all the officials in our Pack refused to attend Miguel's burial?” Valeria demanded angrily, and Ceasor nodded sadly. Miguel had requested that his body shouldn't be buried. His funeral was done just like the time of ancient werewolves. Their body was put in a coffin and sent through an ocean no one knew the end of. The women and children were present, except for the officials. Valeria knew their minds already. They wanted her to step down and crown another Alpha or crown Prince Shaquan. She knew the burden would be too much for Shaquan and didn't care what they thought, but she wasn't going to crown a six-year-old child as the Alpha. They turned to leave but heard a battalion shouts. They were on their way to the palace. Valeria frowned since she wasn't notified before the Pack's gate was opened to some strangers. She sat down, ready for anything they were ready to say, and was a little surprised when she saw all the officials moving wi

AUTHOR'S POV “I will be going somewhere that will take a while to return. Can you please take care of my Luna for me?” Shaquan stared innocently at Valeria, who couldn't meet his gaze. “Father, why don't we go together? That's what a family does, isn't it?” He demanded innocently with teary eyes. Valeria stood up and faced the wall, sobbing quietly. Miguel smiled and caressed Shaquan's face. “If we go together, then who will look after the pack? You're the future Alpha of this pack, and you will also be overseeing eighty neighbouring packs. So, my son, you have a lot of work to do.” Shaquan stared at his fingers. “So, do you promise to take care of my mate, yourself and the pack on my behalf?” He stared at the sad smile his father had on and nodded. Valeria moved closer to him and the family embraced each other, with Valeria in tears. The day in Wolfgang's pack was quiet. Carissa and Demetrius were missing, and the Alpha and Beta are ill. No one was smiling.

  • The Alpha's Twins    A Change Of Heart

AUTHORESS' POV “You mean Demetrius was acting weird after he came back from the autopsy office?” Alpha Miguel demanded again, and Craspina nodded. Valeria paced back and forth with worry. “Can you do anything, like try to find out where he is right now?” They had been trying to mind-link Demetrius, but none were able to. Valeria shook her head negatively at her mate's request. “My mind is filled with worry at the moment. To communicate with my powers now will be exhausting,” Miguel nodded in understanding. He stood up from his throne seat and almost fell down as he felt a sharp pain in his heart. “She is in trouble. Her heartbeat is really faint!” Valeria held him as he managed to pull himself together. “I'm just going to attempt to get their location this once.” Caesar stayed behind Miguel while they all hoped Valeria would succeed. They knew it was likely that Demetrius and Carissa were with each other. Valeria was trying her best to concentrate, but she

Author's POV Carissa wiped her tears as she urged the horse to race faster. She could feel it; Demetrius was getting really hurt. She could feel how much he was trying his best to overcome the troops of Xerxes. She knew her troops would be trying their best as well. Memories of her last meeting with Demetrius came back to her where she had told him she didn't regret all of her actions. She knew she was lying to herself. She regretted every horrible thing she had done to him. Her fate was being repeated. She had never trusted her mate in her past lives, which led to her downfall, but she was ready to make a change in this life. She was ready to give up her life for his sake. Jason must have informed Xerxes that the weak point of werewolves was a frozen place. That must have been the reason he lured her mate to the ice lake. She climbed down from the horse and closed her eyes, saying some few prayers. She got to the lake and many lives were lost. Some of her troops are d

  • The Alpha's Twins    A last Warning

AUTHOR'S POV Demetrius knew that Carrisa's stay in the Crescent Pack would be dangerous now that he knew Xerxes was the murderer of those ten messengers. He was surprised by how hypocritical Xerxes could be and how perfectly he had cleared everything without leaving a specific trace. He left for the palace and dropped all the equipment he had used. He picked up his wolf sword and took a horse. The guards at the gate were reluctant, but seeing the permission Alpha Miguel had given him, they allowed him to leave. Demetrius raced outside Wolfgang Pack but felt someone was within the greenwood. He stopped the horse and studied his environment. Suddenly, he took off from the horse, using his superspeed, and pointed his sword at the intruder. “I'm not trying to harm you, my Lord. I've been trying to get into the Pack, but they wouldn't even open up. Lady Carrisa wants to meet you at the place she met you the last time. Please don't let go of her this time around. Else, the A

AUTHORESS' POV Rissa raced back to the palace. She didn't mind the stares people were giving her. She kept running until her legs started to react. She managed to enter the huge garden Demetrius had beaten Xerxes up a year ago. “I need to be left alone!” She ordered the guards and they left immediately. “In the end, I can't blame you Metrius so it is just best I stop making things hard for you. I will help you and end things.” Her mind flashed back to her first meeting with Demetrius. She had thought he was a pervert since he was staring at a half dressed lady intently back in the Gammas' forest during the royal hunting festival. She smiles as she remembers how they faked hating each other at first in Gilead. The hell he showed her while she was a crown prince. The first person who would fail her while being tutored. His lips on hers, all those memories can keep her happy forever. She wiped away her tears, inhaled and exhaled. “I, Carissa Quintus, re…” She tried to

  • The Alpha's Twins    Closer To The Truth

AUTHORESS' POV “So, did you find anything?” they demanded as Rissa and Albert entered. Rissa fell weakly to the ground, and they stared at her with concern. “Everything Demetrius said was right. He was right from the very beginning. I was such a terrible mate that I believed Xerxes over my mate,” she cried inwardly. “What's this? This should be in Wolfgang's Pack, so why is it in the Crescent Pack?” one of them said aloud. “Xerxes must have stolen it six years ago. That was why he tried everything to get close to me. That son of a bingo knew my weak points all along.” Rissa uttered with pain in her voice. The book they were looking at was the “Biography Of Legends,” which contains the weakness of the Seer Wolf, that was Isidora in her previous life. Xerxes must have read it, and everything he did was just to weaken the Seer Wolf in her. “That means Alpha Xerxes is the reason you lost your powers. How preposterous!” Albert exclaimed. Rissa kept silent and starte
