“Go to my quarters and inform my guests to come over to the king's quarters,” I said, hurrying to the king's quarter and he bowed. Nevertheless, I still mind-linked Miguel and informed him about the situation. I saw the queen at the entrance and bowed, but she didn't seem to be bothered about what was happening.

“Don't you consider this as an unseen misfortune?” She looked and sounded so relaxed, and my instinct had to suspect her.

“What do you want to say, Queen Anahita?” I scoffed.

“Fear always slips into the weakest places” she smiled, and I stared at her. She is trying to buy more time so the king could die quickly.

“You mean I, the regent, brought fear because the king was poisoned?” She nodded smilingly.
