AUTHORESS' POV

The Wolfgang Pack was in mourning. The entire Pack was present at the funeral of Alpha Sebastian and Luna Persis. Miguel, Valeria, Aeliana, and Ceasor maintained a Stoic appearance, trying their best not to break down in front of the rest of the pack. Carissa, on the other hand, couldn't hold back her tears. She cried uncontrollably as the body of her foster parents were being buried. Her sobs echoed through the forest, and her cries were heartbreaking.

As Carissa mourned, she began to reflect on her past, and the feelings of guilt and self-loathing plagued her. She couldn't shake off the notion that she was a bad omen, and that all the unfortunate events that had befallen her loved ones were because of her very existence. She recalled her mother who had died while giving birth to her, her father, the king of Gilead who was also poisoned, and now her foster parents. She thought of Oscar, her mate's father, and Seneca. They all died while trying to protect her. She

AUTHORESS' POV “The officials are awake, my Lord,” a guard informed Miguel, and he called the rest. They moved to the Pack's guest inns, where they had laid them. Valeria notified the magirists to prepare a banquet immediately. Seven days had passed, and they woke up on the eighth day after the incident. They stared at each other, confused, but bowed in courtesy when they set their eyes on Miguel. Miguel explained to them what had happened and why they were there. Carissa's eyes caught someone among them, someone she had always relied on; the only friend she made while she was regarded as the future Alpha. Was she seeing wrongly? The man's eyes were also glued on her. She quickly averted her gaze elsewhere. “We are sorry for your loss, your Majesty,” they bowed. “Father wanted to ask for your forgiveness for deceiving the packs for so long. This is Carissa, whom you all thought was a man. She had to hide her identity back then to survive,” Carissa moved forward, explai

AUTHORESS' POV FIVE YEARS LATER “Why do I feel like something isn't right about this?” Demetrius muttered to Carissa as Xerxes' coronation ceremony was going on. She chuckled. “That is because you have never liked him. Remember all these years, you were always overprotective of me whenever I'm with him.” Demetrius cleared his throat awkwardly. He had never liked Xerxes for anything. He was always suspicious of him. Demetrius felt there was something dark and eerie about him, but he didn't have evidence to prove it. They were always at loggerheads with each other. He hated the fact that Xerxes was putting in all his best to get close to his mate, of all people. Why was Rissa not seeing anything? Wasn't the power of Isidora and Reece working on her any more? The last fight that ensued between Carissa and Demetrius was on the same topic. The words Demetrius heard from him that day kept replaying in his head. “Just wait until I turn the back of your mate against you. She will

Just patiently wait, you fool,” he sneered and turned back on his heels. Demetrius couldn't take it any more. He was unable to control his emotions. He ran up to him and pulled him to the floor. “I dare you to repeat those words again, you bastard!” Demetrius raged. Xerxes had crossed the line again and repeated the words. Demetrius could see the determined look he had. He wasn't joking when he said those words. A fight ensued between them, and as usual, Demetrius took the lead. His wolf was taking over, and he was really causing Xerxes a considerable injury. “What do you think you're doing, Demetrius!?” Carissa screamed at them, separating them with all her strength. Xerxes' face was a total disaster. His face was disfigured with Demetrius' claws. “Teaching him a lesson,” Demetrius replied nonchalantly, trying to steady his breaths. Dem

  • The Alpha's Twins    The Price Of Ignorance

AUTHORESS' POV Wolfgang Pack “Where is Rissa?” That was the first question Craspina asked Valeria. She did not dare to ask Miguel or Demetrius because of their dull faces. Valeria did not answer either. She just sighed heavily. “Please make sure Prince Shaquan is settled in his room,” Valeria said instead, and Craspina bowed as they left for the throne room. “My Lord, you're back,” Ceasor bowed before sitting down. He also looked around but did not see Carissa. He kept quiet, even when the urge to ask was so burdening in his heart. He knew Carissa's disappearance must have had some connections with the disappearing smiles on their faces. “How dare Carissa! Is she senseless? Even if her mate offended her, she has no right to slap him amidst crowds and, worst of all, betraying her Pack for the Crescent Pack. What audacity!” Alpha Miguel raged in the room. The room was shaken at his voice, and the guards at the door began to wonder what must have gone wrong. Their Alp

Where have you been and why are you coming from the Pack?” She had expected him to come from the woods since she left them there. “Alpha Xerxes…he ordered us to be killed, your Highness. The guards will soon be here. You have to save us, my Lord!” He cried. What in the world is going on? Before she could even blink, guards arrived, pointing their swords at Albert. Carissa frowned deeply at them. “Albert is with me, what are you doing pointing your swords at us?” She voiced loudly and they lowered their swords. “Your highness, the Alpha ordered us to bring him either alive or dead. So we are following his orders!” Someone voiced from among them. “Tell His Majesty I will bring Albert myself. That's an order. AUTHOR'S POV CRESCENT PACK “Follow me,” Xerxes authorized and turned towards the palace. “What kind of mission could this be, Miquel? Everyone doesn't want you. The only love I see here is from your battalions,” Tulsi mumbled weakly. She had observed everything and noticed how cold Xerxes was. “Take her to my room and call the royal physician to check up on her,” Albert bowed his head and left. Carissa inhaled and exhaled, hoping that she would overcome whatever Xerxes had in store for her. “Your Majesty,” she called with a bow. “You can stop calling me that now, we are alone,” Xerxes chuckled. Rissa stared at him, noticing that the cold look on his face was gone. “No, your Majesty. You're the Alpha of this Pack, and the honour is yours. Is there something you wanted me to do for you?” She had been standing in front of him for minutes. Before, she would have been seated in front of him, but now she needed to keep her distance. “How about we make a deal?

AUTHOR'S POV CRESCENT PACK “That means the Sangoya kingdom is using him,” I told them, and they looked confused. “The Sangoya Kingdom is a spirit world. They once tried to manipulate Alpha Miguel and myself when we were younger. They didn't succeed. They want to take over the world and turn everyone into spirits.” “Does that mean Beta Decimus needs help?” She shook her head negatively at their question. “He sold out his soul to them to have it replaced. I guess they promised him they would rule the world together, ” she said, staring at them and smiling. “I will go now to avoid getting you into more trouble. As I said, I promise to get you out regardless of what.” They nodded, looking grateful, as she left the dungeon. She just hoped that whatever punishments Xerxes had for them, they could bear it. She got out of the dungeon and met some women there. They looked sorrowful. They immediately knelt down before her as soon as they saw her, taking her by surprise.

Author's point of viewThe silent hall was steeped in darkness, with the only light coming from a single spotlight that shone down upon a young woman standing in the center of the room. The walls were draped in deep shades of purple and pink, with delicate twinkle lights twinkling softly in the background. The air was heavy with the scent of roses and other sweet flowers, their fragrance wafting through the air. She was dressed in an exquisite short skirt of pink silk and a silver blouse of lace, with delicate sparkles glinting in the light. Her hair was a cascade of gentle waves, with a few strands framing her face in an alluring, enticing manner. She was popularly known as Kristen Kim, the second-trending female celebrity in Canada. She had planned to give Alexander, her fiancé, a surprise proposal, and he lured to the hall through wrong information. She danced to the rhythm of the slow romantic music with a smile on her face. Detective Alexander walked in stealthily with

AUTHOR'S POV Valeria carried Shaquan delicately in her hands, but she noticed something was wrong. He was crying. She smiled at him sadly and caressed his head. He became cold suddenly. He stopped breathing. “No, Shaquan, you can't do this. No!” she wailed, pulling him tightly onto her. Valeria's tears soaked through Shaquan's furs as she held onto him tightly, unable to believe that her intelligent, vibrant son was gone. Her heart felt like it had shattered into a million pieces, and a wail of grief escaped her lips as she rocked back and forth on the floor with her beloved child cradled in her arms. Memories of his childhood flooded her mind, each one a fresh stab of pain that threatened to overwhelm her. She felt like a part of her had died alongside him, and the thought of never being able to hug him or hear his voice again was too much to bear. As the hours wore on, her sobs grew quieter but no less intense, and the other women could only offer silent support as t

  • The Alpha's Twins    Leaving The Pack

AUTHOR'S POV A MONTH LATER “You mean all the officials in our Pack refused to attend Miguel's burial?” Valeria demanded angrily, and Ceasor nodded sadly. Miguel had requested that his body shouldn't be buried. His funeral was done just like the time of ancient werewolves. Their body was put in a coffin and sent through an ocean no one knew the end of. The women and children were present, except for the officials. Valeria knew their minds already. They wanted her to step down and crown another Alpha or crown Prince Shaquan. She knew the burden would be too much for Shaquan and didn't care what they thought, but she wasn't going to crown a six-year-old child as the Alpha. They turned to leave but heard a battalion shouts. They were on their way to the palace. Valeria frowned since she wasn't notified before the Pack's gate was opened to some strangers. She sat down, ready for anything they were ready to say, and was a little surprised when she saw all the officials moving wi

  • The Alpha's Twins    Packs Betrayals

AUTHOR'S POV “I will be going somewhere that will take a while to return. Can you please take care of my Luna for me?” Shaquan stared innocently at Valeria, who couldn't meet his gaze. “Father, why don't we go together? That's what a family does, isn't it?” He demanded innocently with teary eyes. Valeria stood up and faced the wall, sobbing quietly. Miguel smiled and caressed Shaquan's face. “If we go together, then who will look after the pack? You're the future Alpha of this pack, and you will also be overseeing eighty neighbouring packs. So, my son, you have a lot of work to do.” Shaquan stared at his fingers. “So, do you promise to take care of my mate, yourself and the pack on my behalf?” He stared at the sad smile his father had on and nodded. Valeria moved closer to him and the family embraced each other, with Valeria in tears. The day in Wolfgang's pack was quiet. Carissa and Demetrius were missing, and the Alpha and Beta are ill. No one was smiling.

  • The Alpha's Twins    A Change Of Heart

AUTHORESS' POV “You mean Demetrius was acting weird after he came back from the autopsy office?” Alpha Miguel demanded again, and Craspina nodded. Valeria paced back and forth with worry. “Can you do anything, like try to find out where he is right now?” They had been trying to mind-link Demetrius, but none were able to. Valeria shook her head negatively at her mate's request. “My mind is filled with worry at the moment. To communicate with my powers now will be exhausting,” Miguel nodded in understanding. He stood up from his throne seat and almost fell down as he felt a sharp pain in his heart. “She is in trouble. Her heartbeat is really faint!” Valeria held him as he managed to pull himself together. “I'm just going to attempt to get their location this once.” Caesar stayed behind Miguel while they all hoped Valeria would succeed. They knew it was likely that Demetrius and Carissa were with each other. Valeria was trying her best to concentrate, but she

  • The Alpha's Twins    The Law Of Casualty

Author's POV Carissa wiped her tears as she urged the horse to race faster. She could feel it; Demetrius was getting really hurt. She could feel how much he was trying his best to overcome the troops of Xerxes. She knew her troops would be trying their best as well. Memories of her last meeting with Demetrius came back to her where she had told him she didn't regret all of her actions. She knew she was lying to herself. She regretted every horrible thing she had done to him. Her fate was being repeated. She had never trusted her mate in her past lives, which led to her downfall, but she was ready to make a change in this life. She was ready to give up her life for his sake. Jason must have informed Xerxes that the weak point of werewolves was a frozen place. That must have been the reason he lured her mate to the ice lake. She climbed down from the horse and closed her eyes, saying some few prayers. She got to the lake and many lives were lost. Some of her troops are d

  • The Alpha's Twins    A last Warning

AUTHOR'S POV Demetrius knew that Carrisa's stay in the Crescent Pack would be dangerous now that he knew Xerxes was the murderer of those ten messengers. He was surprised by how hypocritical Xerxes could be and how perfectly he had cleared everything without leaving a specific trace. He left for the palace and dropped all the equipment he had used. He picked up his wolf sword and took a horse. The guards at the gate were reluctant, but seeing the permission Alpha Miguel had given him, they allowed him to leave. Demetrius raced outside Wolfgang Pack but felt someone was within the greenwood. He stopped the horse and studied his environment. Suddenly, he took off from the horse, using his superspeed, and pointed his sword at the intruder. “I'm not trying to harm you, my Lord. I've been trying to get into the Pack, but they wouldn't even open up. Lady Carrisa wants to meet you at the place she met you the last time. Please don't let go of her this time around. Else, the A

  • The Alpha's Twins    Moon Goddess' Visitation

AUTHORESS' POV Rissa raced back to the palace. She didn't mind the stares people were giving her. She kept running until her legs started to react. She managed to enter the huge garden Demetrius had beaten Xerxes up a year ago. “I need to be left alone!” She ordered the guards and they left immediately. “In the end, I can't blame you Metrius so it is just best I stop making things hard for you. I will help you and end things.” Her mind flashed back to her first meeting with Demetrius. She had thought he was a pervert since he was staring at a half dressed lady intently back in the Gammas' forest during the royal hunting festival. She smiles as she remembers how they faked hating each other at first in Gilead. The hell he showed her while she was a crown prince. The first person who would fail her while being tutored. His lips on hers, all those memories can keep her happy forever. She wiped away her tears, inhaled and exhaled. “I, Carissa Quintus, re…” She tried to

  • The Alpha's Twins    Closer To The Truth

AUTHORESS' POV “So, did you find anything?” they demanded as Rissa and Albert entered. Rissa fell weakly to the ground, and they stared at her with concern. “Everything Demetrius said was right. He was right from the very beginning. I was such a terrible mate that I believed Xerxes over my mate,” she cried inwardly. “What's this? This should be in Wolfgang's Pack, so why is it in the Crescent Pack?” one of them said aloud. “Xerxes must have stolen it six years ago. That was why he tried everything to get close to me. That son of a bingo knew my weak points all along.” Rissa uttered with pain in her voice. The book they were looking at was the “Biography Of Legends,” which contains the weakness of the Seer Wolf, that was Isidora in her previous life. Xerxes must have read it, and everything he did was just to weaken the Seer Wolf in her. “That means Alpha Xerxes is the reason you lost your powers. How preposterous!” Albert exclaimed. Rissa kept silent and starte
