Lyra's POV

Ever since I rejected Asher, it has been as if he disappeared into thin air.I barely saw him and didn't even hear from or about him.

I felt genuine happiness because of that.I didn't have to deal with his own problems. I didn't want someone trying to pursue me despite my official rejection. I wondered if this was how Asher had felt when I had been trying to convince him that we were mates. If that was how he felt, I noted that apologizing to him was needed.

But I would rather be caught dead and naked on national television than apologize to him.
