I stayed rooted to the ground, looking at him while my head contemplated what he could probably mean by those words he had said. I couldn't fathom anything that was happening, all I heard and all that repeated in my head were his exact words:

Philip was with me only because he needed me.

I wasn't a fool, I knew for certain that Tristan could not be trusted but when thinking about what he had said, there was a possibility that he had been telling the truth.
