Amelia's POV

Lorenzo has become a demon of himself. All day long, he had me locked up in this room without food or water.

Last night had been a nightmare... tears rushed down my face as I remembered that lady's words as she hit me squarely in the face. "The capo brought you here as a slut and a cheap slut is what you'll be here!"

She had been too strong and fast for me, almost impossible for me to pluck a strand of her hair as she hit me; like she had been made and trained for this.

Lorenzo had appeared, dragged her by the hair, and pushed her aside. "I didn't ask you to touch her. She still remains my wife." When I thought he was finally going to get me out of here, Lorenzo had tied me up and dumped me here in this room.

"Your mate might take too long to come to your rescue; coming by boat to Europe. Ridiculous," Lorenzo spat. "I would have had a fill of myself on you before he arrives," Lorenzo said in derision as he pulled my face up to look at him. "I'll keep you here. Safe. A

Amelia's POV Neil wouldn't listen. I began to fidget in fear as I tried in vain to make Neil look at me at least, but he was too focused on his opponent in the ring. His opponent was the first to attack. He leaped on Neil like a frog, but Neil casually avoided him, weighing his reflexes and fight skills. He leapt again, but Neil slammed his fists into his face, which forcefully threw him backwards and out of the ring. It wasn't about fame but strength. Neil's opponent was famous amongst most of the crowd, but Neil was stronger. The crowd screamed in shock as Neil's opponent crashed onto the floor outside the stage. For the first time, I felt at ease. It might not be as bad as I thought. Neil might navigate Lorenzo's traps, and we'd get out of there soon. Neil's opponent rose from the floor, a drop of blood on his lip. He sprinted back into the ring. Neil paced around the ring, waiting for his opponent to make his comeback. The crowd cheered again as Neil's opponent threw himself

  • The Alpha's Trapped Mate   Chapter 70 - Silver!

Neil's POV He was much stronger than I thought. And though I had decided not to use any of my wolf abilities in the arena, I was forced to because he was almost unbeatable. I was shocked when his wounds healed and claws formed on his fingers. He was a werewolf too... and a powerful one at that! How many werewolves did Lorenzo have working for him? And how did he get such a powerful werewolf in his fight club? But what I never expected was Lorenzo going back on his word... As I slit Blue blood's throat, I narrowly missed a bullet as it whizzed past my head. I tumbled down the stage to take cover as more bullets pierced the air. Suddenly, everything seemed to slow down before me and I could clearly see the bullets rushing above me and on the stage. It was no ordinary bullet. It was made of raw silver. Lorenzo! That bastard! I should have known he wouldn't keep to his word. I told you it was a bad idea, Heira grumbled into my head, but this was not a time for grumbling. I turned

  • The Alpha's Trapped Mate   Chapter 71 - A duty

Amelia's POV The lady forced me forward by pointing a gun into the back of my head. I held my breath in fear, feeling that metallic object and knowing it would go off if I failed to obey. She kicked the door before me open and pushed me in. "Have a seat my lady," she said in derision as she pointed the gun to an empty sofa where she wanted me to sit. Slowly, I took my seat. We were next to the changing room where I had been taken to last night to change my clothes for a dance—thankfully, I had disobeyed. Otherwise, last night would have left an indelible mark on me. The lady took her position beside me with her gun still pointing at me. There was tension in the air as my heart raced; it was either Lorenzo or Neil. Lorenzo had silver, but Neil was powerful, strong, and fast. I gulped heavily as another thought hit my mind; Lorenzo was not the only one in that hall with Neil. There were eight other men against Neil! My eyes clouded with tears as I prayed Neil would come out of this u

  • The Alpha's Trapped Mate   Chapter 72 - One terrible night!

Cole's POV I knew she was Neil's mate the moment I set my eyes on her, but I couldn't stop that lady on time from ramming her head into the wall. Impulsively, I released two bullets into her chest before rushing over to Amelia, who was bleeding profusely on the floor. Her eyes were shut, and her breath... she was breathing slowly. Without minding the blood, I picked her up in both arms, hurrying to take her out of there and save her life. By the time I got back to Neil, his body was cold, and my breath hitched as I tried to push the fact that he might be dead out of my head. There had to be some life left in him. He can't come all this way only to give up in the end. There was silver in his blood, and that might be his end. But how do I get the two of them out of here in time to save their lives? A thought crossed my mind, and I quickly pulled out my phone. "Stabber, I need you down here." "I knew you'd still need my help. The capo is one big slimy fish you could ever deal with." S

Cole's POV It didn't take long before I arrived at the hospital, and the nurse in charge of Amelia was the first person I met. She asked me to fill a few forms and sign other papers, which I did under the guise of Amelia's "cousin." I walked to the door to Amelia's ward, where a few surgeons—three of them—hovered above her, trying to keep her stable. "It's been like this since I brought her here," I heard Stabber's voice behind me, and I turned to him. "I've done my part," he continued, "now, I have to go back to business." I nodded a thank you at him before turning to the door again as Stabber's footsteps slowly faded into the distance. Slowly, the surgeons walked toward the door, leaving behind a nurse who was giving some finishing touches to the transfusion pipes around Amelia's hand and head. I moved away from the door as the surgeons emerged and rushed toward one of them. "Is she going to be okay?" "I'm afraid she's in a very critical state. There are traces of arsenic in her

  • The Alpha's Trapped Mate   Chapter 74 - Another werewolf

Cole's POV As Neil coughed, the stitches on his wounds slackened and blood started pouring from the wounds. I rushed over to his side to stop him from coughing again. I saw the fucking silver glistening in his blood. Slowly, I patted his chest to ease him from the cough. "Stop coughing. You're making things worse." Neil's eyes slowly blinked open and shut again when he saw me. "Cole," he muttered through choked breath. "Neil, are you okay?" I asked in panic. I was lost as to what else to do. I concluded that I would take Neil to the hospital since I couldn't bring him to the safe side like this. "You can't cure me, Cole," Neil whispered in his subconscious state. His eyes were still shut and his breathing was ragged. "There has to be a way!" I was determined to save his life. "You're a fighter, Neil. Fight it. For your mate! She needs you. She won't stand from that hospital bed and walk out of that emergency ward if you don't come to meet her." I tried to keep myself from shoutin

  • The Alpha's Trapped Mate   Chapter 75 - My mate disappeared!

Neil's POV Heira was anxious. He wanted to be better for our mate. I heard everything Cole said in my unconscious state; everything he said about Amelia. But I had no control over my body. What I couldn't place a finger on was how Amelia got to the hospital. How did she end up there? I felt the wheels move. Cole was taking me somewhere. Pains and more of it exploded in my body like there were needles in my blood. It felt as if I was being pricked each time. I couldn't speak; my lips were sealed. I couldn't move. My body did not listen to my command. Pains; tingling and itching together were numbing my mind. However, the pains went to the back of my mind. It felt like something was blocking it. 'What is happening to me'? 'The wounds are healing', Heira pointed out in reply. 'It hurt like hell'! 'But it would take a while'. Even while I lay there in my mind, everything felt so hazy—so different. Though I could still feel the biting pains, I knew I was getting better. It was no l

  • The Alpha's Trapped Mate   Chapter 76 - Turn her

Neil's POV Thoughts and tears bit the back of my mind as Cole drove down the road. A lump formed in my throat, and I managed to gulp it down. Amelia had lost her memories. She may not remember who I was to her. Added to that was the bigger problem that she had been placed under a caregiver because the brain damage had affected her mental status, coupled with the arsenic. I saw the medical reports; the arsenic could not be removed from her body as it had spread all around. "But why is she with a caregiver? I thought it was just arsenic in the blood?" I asked Cole, disturbed. "One of the effects of arsenic in the body is confusion, and a surgeon suggested we place her under a caregiver. And you know also, the brain injury." "You know you're just being sad for nothing," Heira started, pacing slowly and impatiently in my mind. "How do you mean? Can't you see that this whole thing is climaxing to the worse? Losing her memories? It will never feel the same way." "If it's about losing

  • The Alpha's Trapped Mate   Chapter 84 - Luna Amelia

Neil's POV It had been almost a week and I had been mourning him, loathing myself for his demise. I felt empty, weak, and powerless as he was cremated six feet into the ground. I would bear this scar, this burden all my life, as the one who killed his brother. I couldn’t accept any other truth, knowing this would not have happened if I had paid attention to what my mother said a few weeks ago about my brother's disappearance. I should have gone in search of him; maybe I could have saved him earlier. But now, there seemed to be more to this than just losing him to the monster I was yet to understand. A monster that operated with shadows and was as dangerous as hell, capable of possessing the soul of a werewolf. I had to dig into this. Who were the 'they' that were coming? And why do they want to wipe out all werewolves? His voice echoed in my mind. A thin line of tears rushed down my face as I stared at his grave. Every werewolf in the Castros pack had come to pay their last respe

  • The Alpha's Trapped Mate   Chapter 83 - Brother...

Neil's POV "Scythe!!!" I screamed in fury with everything in me. The hairs on my body rose in anger. My blood boiled, and the only way to stop this was to take Scythe down and make him pay for everything he put the werewolves of Castros pack through. "Scythe!!" I roared again. Heira paced angrily within me, and I knew any moment now, he would push out. The air suddenly went still, and an ominous silence fell among the ruins of the pack. Cold air rushed in from all sides, and strange shadows began to take shape around me. Scythe's power had increased since the last time. More larger and thicker lumps of shadow penetrated the air now, cloning themselves... more than one Scythe stood before me, ready to attack. "You called me." His voice was unusually deep and menacing, resonating like thunder in the environment. But I cared less; he could display an array of powers as much as he wanted, but he was going down today. With gritted teeth, I pounced forward on both feet, claws pointed at

  • The Alpha's Trapped Mate   Chapter 82 - Scythe strikes again

Neil's POV One blissful, amazing night with my mate had left us both curled into each other's arms. Her head rested on my chest while she slept. She was my mate, my Luna with a wolf spirit—a healer. Not only was she a werewolf now, but she was also a healer. In that moment, I wished I had turned her earlier; Cole wouldn’t have had to endure all of those struggles in Europe to save me from silver. I felt proud of her. She had awakened her wolf successfully after one bite, which was very rare, and she had been blessed by the moon with such a unique power. I suspected that was just the tip of the power of blue wolves. As I lost myself in thoughts about what it would feel like to finally present my mate to the Castros pack, a voice suddenly screamed into my head through the mind-link. "Alpha! Where are you? The pack is in chaos!" It was my beta, Damien. "What’s wrong? What’s happening?" "It’s the shadow assassin! The pack members are disbanding in fear. So many werewolves have been k

  • The Alpha's Trapped Mate   Chapter 81 - Blue wolves are healers.

Amelia's POV She was very focused and carefully navigated the woods as if she had been there before. Also, she was very fast; I could tell by the amount of wind brushing past her fur. Neil was behind us... wait, not Neil. It was his wolf! I chuckled in excitement. It was getting interesting. 'Lydia is beautiful', I heard Neil in my head as our wolves sprinted through the undergrowth. 'She's charming and very interesting. I love her already', I replied as I laughed. We were beating Neil and his wolf in the race. They couldn't keep up with us; Lydia was extremely fast. 'And she's unusually fast! Damn! Heira is struggling to match her speed!' Neil complained, and I took pride in that. I heard his wolf purr as he increased his speed. 'Catch me if you can,' Lydia screamed in excitement. We pounced ahead. But Lydia suddenly paused and turned to Heira. 'Okay, I think we have arrived at the end of the game.' I stretched my eyes and saw it was a dead end—a cliff. Heira swiftly transfor

  • The Alpha's Trapped Mate   Chapter 80 - Lydia, the new wolf

Amelia's POV My whole body quaked even while Neil was licking the wound. His hot tongue flapped the bite marks, but that didn't stop the storm I felt within. He pulled away and looked into my face. I thought he was going to let go because he didn't know when my wolf would arrive, but instead, his lips found mine. My lips quivered in his mouth as he kissed me, lips first until our tongues almost set on fire. I could feel my thigh getting slicker as our mouths continued dancing together. Yet, my whole body was on fire; starting from the mark Neil had just placed on my neck to the very pit of my stomach. I began to feel so strange, so alien to my body. I gasped into Neil's mouth while he kissed me because the pains were almost choking me, but Neil's powerful arms held me steadily against his chest as he tried to ease the pains. My fingers dug into his back as it felt as if I could merge with his body. The pains throbbed in my head and pounded in my chest, as if my body would explode an

I remember that monster, Logan; he cut off my pinky and promised he would send it to Neil, which he did.One distinct thing I also remember is that Neil is not an ordinary human. He has a wolf; a dark haired wolf that is so strong.I couldn't stop myself from imagining what it felt like having a wolf that you could call on, even when you are in danger. I would speak to her, hear her thoughts and opinions and not a soul will know what we are discussing. I would make her my gist mate. • The Alpha's Trapped Mate   Chapter 78 - Never existed

Neil's POV I was shocked to the bone marrow. Not once did Amelia stir as her eyes continued piercing mine inquisitively. "Is he the bad guy who cut my finger with a knife and laughed while I cried?" She raised her stubby pinky to me and pouted her lips, ready to tear up. I was short of words. She remembered Logan, Karl, me, and every other thing except Lorenzo. She didn't remember the man who was ruthless and cruel to her in the name of marriage. She didn't remember how he killed her parents or how he led her to the altar and proceeded with the marriage vows with her. She didn't remember the mafia boss of Chicago, the one who married her for an heir and made life hard for her. She didn't remember any of it. But seeing this situation, I was going to seize it. I would make sure she never remembered those horrible nightmares with Lorenzo. She would never remember that Lorenzo ever existed, that he ever lived in her life. And that he was her husband. I would make sure those nightmares

  • The Alpha's Trapped Mate   Chapter 77 - Who is Lorenzo?

Neil's POV The first thing I did was get Amelia out of that hospital and take her with me back to America. Cole booked us a room in a hotel to stay and watch out for the time being. The situation in America about being the miscreant who took the lives of hundreds of workers in a refinery explosion hadn't been laid to rest yet. But I was not that bothered about it; now I had all that I wanted, an undisturbed life with my mate. It was late by the time we arrived in America. Amelia had been sleeping on my shoulder all through the flight. She looked so weak and sick. The kind that moved me to pity, but it wasn't pity speaking. I was not pitying my mate. I was deeply concerned about her condition and if Neil Morreti would survive if he lost her. I would become a shadow of myself, and I might not be what anyone expected me to be anymore—just a loner who had lost control of his emotions and his whole self. I let her freshen up alone and treat herself to a nice meal. I took her to watch the
