**Elliott POV**

The sunrise began to peak through the blinds before I realized I’d fallen asleep with my naked mate in my arms. I looked down at her peaceful face, not being able to bring myself to wake her. I slipped out of bed as subtly as I could manage and slipped on some basketball shorts and a T-shirt.

I made my way down to the kitchen, hoping to find enough stuff to assemble a halfway decent breakfast for Jade since the combo of her first heat and last night most likely would create quite an appetite for her today.
