The wedding had come and gone and the couple were now living in wedded bliss of disaster. The pack was also out of mourning for Lord Salmon.

Life continued in the palace as usual.

“Your Majesty, that idea is preposterous! There are noble Lords that look after the affairs of their coffers not to mention the fact that we assign governors to every region,” a man named Donovan spoke up.

Cyrus had finally presented the plan to make the locals choose their own representatives and the noble ministers were not open to the idea. I had known they would not like it anyway. What Cyrus aimed to do was going to reduce the power they had at the grassroots level.

“In my opinion, it is a good idea; the common people do not have to wear it with every little request they have. Whoever they have chosen will bear the burden of that and will only come to us when big issues arrive,” returned Cyrus.
