I skimmed through the rest of the letter with a smile on my face. I could rest easy now, everything was going to be alright.

I had been beaten until my vision blurred, then darkened, and then I was dunked into a pool of water and thus forcefully roused, and the whole process repeated.

This was the seventh time and I had at this point emptied my guts. I was sick and I wanted to puke but there was nothing left in me.

“Why are you doing this?” I was beyond exhausted.
