A Horrid Dream

Adrianna's POV

I was getting suffocated staying cooped up in the palace all day with nothing to do. I wanted to ledge rather desperately but I could not do so just yet. The physician in charge of my care had to ensure that I was alright before he could release me. I had not just been stabbed else I would have healed quickly as my body would have healed itself eventually. The spear that had pierced me had been poisoned.

I was anxious to leave however and I suspected Cyrus or Theo did not want me to leave because I felt fine and the wound had healed. Perhaps the physician was lying to me on their orders.

There is a knock on my door and I tell the person on the other side to come inside.

It is Theo.
