Clarissa's POV

"Why did you do that, huh?" He screamed with veins popping up from his head. I could only shiver, what do I say to him, that I slept with him in his vulnerable state? He's never going to forgive me.

I bit my lips in sadness, my eyes darting around as I tried to think of the right thing to tell him. I wanted to tell him I did it so his mate could pay for everything he ever did to her, but then, out of the blue, he grabbed my cheek.

He pulled me close, his eyes glaring at me. I could feel sweat trailing already, and I fought the urge to cry. I didn't do anything wrong; yet, he was holding me so tightly.

"Tell me, did it feel good, huh? What's your problem?!" He yelled, making me raise my head in a questioning manner, why does it have to be me?
