“Lana,” her name was whispered. She unconsciously reached for her mask and got rid of it. She was dazed, walking in a trance. Her name kept being whispered. The last set of doors opened wide, the three witches floating in the air around the Sapphire and its lanterns. “Yes, child. Let me show you,” voices echoed.

Lana went straight for the Sapphire. Each step she took increased the shining light until it grew into a flame. Her symbol reappeared on her forehead, eyes glowing and fangs protruding. Her claws were out in the open too.

“You want to see it too. Don't you?” One of the snarling witches snaked her hands around Lana's shoulders, hissing. “Touch it,” she commanded.

Lana wasn't hesitant. She stretched her hands, wrapping her slender fingers over the Sapphire. What followed next was the two flaming lanterns, igniting the other two that were out cold. Together, all of them formed a thick burning orb that shot vertically into the sky.

Her head flew back, energy flowing in every vein

Lana gasped for air, eyes flying wide open as her spirit returned to her passed-out body. She heard commands and pounding footsteps. They were running past that door.“The Alpha ordered that every person from the Silver pack that had set foot here be executed. The rest of the soldiers are leading an ambush against their pack house,” one of the soldiers outside explained to the guard stationed outside the four.Lana's heart sank. Kamala and everyone were in trouble. She reached for her phone, scrolling passively to get to any of their contacts. The first she stumbled on was Levi's. That was good enough. She dialed, but he never answered.“Shit!” she cursed, moving on to the next nearest contact, which was Kamala's. She called over and over but no one answered too. It was getting frustrating.Lana rose from the dark corner she sat to look around once more. Maybe she was missing out on something. Furthermore, if there was a way to rip that orb off its station, possibly it will do somethi

The last car and that of Lana's kept hitting the crowd, loud thuds indicating that they were getting some. The others must have seen because they followed suit. Soon, they were driving back into the pack away from the gate. Lana fired up, taking the lead. She could still remember her way around the place. Some places were death raps with swamps that could trap them, and there were narrow routes that would make driving uncomfortable. Those she avoided. Instead, as the shooters redirected, she drove straight to Annik's mansion. She made sure that the doors were locked. Remembering back in time, there was something she had seen on one occasion in Annik's garage. Well, caught a glimpse of it before she was escorted out. An armored tank. For someone who loved living as if he was a caveman, having those luxurious things doesn’t make sense unless he was keeping them as decoration. Get there, find the tank, and they would be able to escape. It might be easy since nobody knew that she knew wh

To Lana, they were wasting time and the consequence was likely to be severe. “I don't know what we're going to do or how we're going to get out of here. However, we have to help others until something comes up. We can't leave them behind.”“But, we're outnumbered,” Levi brief out. “You can leave with Kamala and Elder Zayn. Let me stay back and hold them off. After all, I was on death row. It's inky sensible that my death is worth it,” he winked.“No, Levi. I'm fighting for my pack members.” Turning to Kamala, “no arguments. This is a command. Drive Elder Zayn back to the packhouse. I'm not losing any more of my Elders and healers.”“Lana--”“It's a command! Levi, you're with me.”Levi nodded, carefully crawling out. Lana, with the help of Kamala, got pushed up, and she climbed down. The chaos before her was unfriendly. Lots of painful yelling, gunshots, and loud thuds. Exhaling, she flexed her shoulders, smiled at Levi, and charged toward the fight. She was unstoppable. Careful. Tra

For someone guilty, his stretched hand was firmly reaching for the cover over Lana's face.Without hesitation, she withdrew, throwing a feisty punch at it. Scott got irritated and braced himself, kicking without mercy. She dodged, returning the punch. He growled, targeting and slashing her sleeves. It left a deep claw mark there, but that wasn't satisfactory for him. He went lower, punching her stomach. She fell to the flow, grunting while clasping her stomach. He crossed a leg over her agonized body, still reaching for her face.Just when all seemed lost, Lana heard the sound of improved yells and aggressive shooting. Sounded like reinforcement. Scott was also akin to knowing what was happening, giving her room to turn the tide of the battle. She kicked his heels, causing him to kneel. She got up, her strength renewed. Reinforcement had arrived. Not much, but enough to give her room to escape with others. Her plan was effective. A neighboring Rogue pack had come to their aid. With t

Two days back, after spending almost an entire day on the road since the tank spoiled, Kamala and Elder Zayn finally made it back. Tyler looked behind them and, truly, it was just the two of them. “Where's Lana?” was his first question.Kamala went ahead to narrate all that had happened. She and Elder Zayn were taken to the sick bay to be tended to. Katida and Kaylee were happy to have their sister back in one piece. The joy wasn't complete because they had learned that a large number of those that went with them were already dead. From their narration, they implied that Lana and Levi might not be in good shape or even alive, too.All resources were then narrowed down to searching for them. Tyler tried using his mate bond with Lana to find her, but it was a dead end. No connection. He tried mindlinking anyone in the pack. Anyone at all. He just needed a hint of where to start looking. Again, there was no success. His heart was heavy and all he showed was anger. Even though he had a vo

In the depths of the endless battle, they once more stood facing each other, their eyes locked in a deadly stare, vying for control. Aggressive posturing and growling fill the air. With a fierce snarl, Scott lunged forward, his massive jaws snapping at Alpha Tyler's throat. But Tyler was quick, dodging to the side and retaliating with a swift bite to Scott's hindquarters. They fought with a ferocity that Tyler's pack had never seen before. As the sun began to set, Scott launched a surprise attack from behind. Tyler's w

Kamala was inconsolable as she was led away with the others. She fought and thrashed against her captors, trying to reunite with her sister's dead body. She watched out of the corner of her eyes as her lifeless body was played with. They bundled all of them toward the prison. Setting them into a bigger cell. The pack members of Annik and Herrick began to set fire to the cells, starting from the entrance. Katida was led to Tyler's side, who was now firmly tied even though he was knocked out.“Don't do this? Don't hurt my people! You asked me to help you with certain information, in exchange you'll just get rid of a thorn in my flesh. This wasn't what you promised,” she cried out.“You're more ignorant than I thought,” Scott mumbled, handing her over to two hefty pack members of his. They stuffed her in a car in the back seat. Minutes turned into hours, then days and Tyler and Katida were kept in the small room, their only contact with the outside world being the occasional visit from Scott or one of his pack mates. Tyler was subjected to various forms of torture, but he refused to break. He was determined to stay strong, to revenge his pack, no matter what.He started to have blurry visions. Something made absolutely no sense to him. Everything that was done to him was humiliating and degrading, yet, he didn't care. Annik never set his eyes on him, while Scott prolonged his execution for whatever reason best known to him.Katida's confession had only passed him off so much that he vowed to banish her for conflicting such pain on their pack. Even though they were together, he ignored her as if she wasn't present. Tyler trained rigorously within the confinement, even with the little meal they were being fed once a day.Katida, on the other hand, had started to crack under the pressure. She was torn between no

The soft rays of the morning sun painted the room in a warm golden hue as Lana cradled her newborn daughter, Kaylida, in her arms. She was a replica of her father, Tyler but had gotten her mother's hair. She was the best gift to the United pack, loved by all.The little one cooed gently, her tiny fingers grasping at the air. Tyler stood beside Lana, his eyes filled with awe and love for the precious gift they had been blessed with.Nine months had passed since Kaylida's arrival, and the family decided to celebrate by going on a picnic. They invited Kamala, to join them. The tranquility of the pack's garden provided the perfect setting for a relaxing day under the azure sky.As they set up their picnic spot, Lana saw the memorial stand nearby. It bore the names of fallen loved ones: Elijah, Kaylee, Katida, and many others. A wave of bittersweet memories washed over her, and she felt compelled to honor their memory.Lana turned to Tyler, her voice filled with emotion. "I'm glad we decid

Several months later...Months have passed with Tyler and his community doing nothing but rebuilding. He had Kamala brought over to join them. The land has brought together several packs focused on making the King's pack unmatchable.Lana agreed to have everything attributed to her past buried as it was a long time. A few times, she heard from Jack and Alpha Raven.Amid the reimagined Pure Crescent pack, a vibrant tapestry of unity and diversity unfolded. The once desolate lands had transformed into a breathtaking haven of life and serenity. As Tyler and Lana strolled together, their footsteps accompanied by the gentle rustling of leaves and the sweet scent of blooming flowers, their eyes beheld the beauty that surrounded them.Fields of wildflowers stretched as far as the eye could see, their colors blending harmoniously, painting the landscape with hues of crimson, gold, and azure. The air was alive with the melodic chorus of birdsong, and the delicate whispers of the wind through t

Afterward, he clasped her against him so tightly, it was to the point of pain. She needed it and wanted him to squeeze her even harder. They had no idea how long they remained like that, hearts thundering together, his hips softly rocking. Hours might have passed. When the now aggressive air began to flog their skin through the open window. "Is there a bathroom here?" Tyler questioned.Lana nodded pointing to the closed door on the left.Tyler didn't pull out. He carried her, with him buried deep in her straight to the bathroom. It was a simple one with a shower head, bathtub, and toilet area which was demarcated by a transparent glass. There was a cabinet with toiletries and towels and a bug full-length mirror.Tyler carried Lana under the showerhead, switching in the water with a free hand. The water from the showerhead began sputtering. Nonchalantly, he gave both of them a rinse without pulling away.Lana giggled, her breathing hoarse. "You do know that we need a proper bath after

Like an addict yearning for her drugs, Lana shuddered as Tyler teased.Once she managed to reach the heavy weight of his cock, he rasped, “Use it.”She rocked her hips up as she pulled his shaft to her. When the head made contact with her pussy, he bit out a curse, his length jerking in her hand. Panting, she ran the crown up and down between her swollen, flaring lips.“So slick,” he growled. “So ready for me.”As she petted her clit with the bulbous tip, his towering body shuddered with need. “Enough teasing. Wanted this too long.”He covered her hand with his own, fitting the crown against her entrance, pressing forward just a fraction. As soon as she knew without any doubt that she was about to have the best moment of her life that has been denied for months, she relaxed. He pulled their hands away, then began easing deeper, wedging the broad head inside. Her gasp was cut off by his lips, hungry and insistent as he sank his cock farther. Each inch forced her to stretch more and mo

The whole place was still in a frenzy as the dead and injured were being carried out. As Lana swayed her hips ahead of Tyler trying to help in whatever way she could, Tyler pulled her aside.Cupping her face with both of his hands, he brushed his thumbs over her cheekbones. “I need you," he whispered against her ears, and his breathing quickened."I need you too," Lana replied. "However, the pack needs us more. We need to put things in place. We have to decide where everyone would settle before we can have our moment," Lana reminded him as she ran her slender fingers through his now lengthy hair. The last thing as having a haircut and trimming his beard has been at the far corner of Tyler's head due to the whole commotion. He burrowed his stare into Lana's eyes, smiling proudly at her. He couldn't believe that he had almost given up such a wonderful soul due to anger. As the smoke cleared and the victorious warriors gathered, Lana and Tyler stood on the grand balcony overlooking the battlefield, the weight of their recent triumph heavy on their shoulders. Annik knelt by their side, his eyes reflecting a mix of embarrassment and anger. The gathered wolves, both from the Pure Crescent pack and other clans that had come to their aid, watched with bated breath, their attention fixed on the trio who had emerged triumphant. The wounds of the battle were evident on their bodies, but their spirits burned with newfound hope. With a commanding voice that resonated across the assembled wolves, Tyler spoke, his words carrying the weight of authority and compassion. "Today, we have emerged victorious, not just as separate packs, but as one united force. We have proven that when we stand together, there is no darkness we cannot overcome." A chorus of howls echoed in response, a symbol of unity and agreement from the wolves who had fought valiantly side by side

As Lana and Ryler joined forces to combat Annik, trying to save the fate of their world that teetered on a fragile edge, the strength of the other packs that had joined hands with them increased too. Lana kept striking blows until Annik shoved her hand on the chest, causing her to swerve back. Her gaze locked with Alpha Annik's hauntingly possessed eyes. She clutched her knuckles so right that they turned white. "You ruined the lives of the innocent, and changed fates, so you could have power. Until your head has been fed to the crocodiles, I will not rest!" she promised.Alpha Annik's possessed voice resonated with a sinister undertone, distorted and chilling. "Foolish girl! You cannot comprehend the power that flows through me. Prepare to face your demise!" With a swift motion, Annik unleashed a wave of dark energy, causing the ground to tremble beneath their feet.Tyler, his eyes burning with determination, stepped in front of Lana, shielding her from the brunt of the attack. He evaded Annik's frenzied attacks, his keen instincts guiding him through the chaos. Each clash of their fangs and clash of their claws echoed with the weight of their shared history, their former brotherhood.Amidst the battle, Tyler's voice rang out, laced with sorrow and urgency.
