...Darius POV...After a bit of 'fun' in the closet, we made our way into town. Since we were going by car, the trip would take a few hours. ...Wynter POV...I have no idea how I even managed to do what I just did for Catherine. Once Catherine mentioned that she didn't want to be Darius' mate, something inside of me snapped. It was as though I was just watching the scenario, opposed to actually living it. I felt Caedance become stronger. She took over me when we confronted Catherine.Caedance had done something to Catherine that revealed her true heart. We could see that she was being honest when she told us about her father. We could see that she truly longed for her true mate. Which made Caedance empathize with her. Neither of us liked the idea of someone being without their mate. While Catherine had played a part in keeping Darius and I away from each other, she was still innocent. I could hear Caedance chanting in our mind when she placed her hand over Catherine's eyes. When I looked back into Catherine's after Caedance had lowered our hand, I saw a look I was all too familiar with. The look of desire for one's mate.

From here on out, consider yourself banished from the Blood Moon pack."I was both surprised and impressed with the way Darius handled that. ...Darius POV...I knew Wynter was really tired, so I figured by the time I finished showering that she would probably be out cold. I opened the bathroom door, expecting to see Wynter out cold. Only to see her munching on a half eaten pizza. "Where did you get that from?" I asked, surprised."I don't know. I thought you had ordered it." She says, putting down the piece of pizza mid-bite."Where did you get it?" I ask, suddenly alarmed."It was just over there, with all the others." ...Wynter POV...The next morning I woke up with a new sense of urgency. Almost as if we were on the same wavelength, Kenji burst into our room."Huh? What's going on?" Darius said, waking up with a start. When he saw everything was ok, he relaxed."Dude? What's the rush? Couldn't you have at least let us sleep in? And wait.. since when are you up before me?" The next few days flew by effortlessly. It actually felt as though we were gaining our own sense of normalcy. The first we did after we had finished our meeting with Kenji and Alpha Kayden, was to call a pack meeting. Darius wanted to address what had happened, and any questions or concerns they may have as well.Darius did a great job. He managed to keep his cool the entire time, regardless of the questions that were asked.Darius first thanked everyone for their support and for helping to make his transition to Alpha run so smoothly.
